The usual over reaction on here We had plenty of chances today and yes we struggle to put them away but for me it was an improvement on Tuesdays game and an attacking set up from Askey when we could

Facts We have lost three league games on the bounce each by a single goal despite playing a considerable time with ten men in two of the games. We still sit just outside the play offs in 9th. So

THIS ISN'T AN ASKEY OUT POST BUT I AM GOING TO BE CRITICAL.  Sick and tired of this football club. The evidence is fairly irrefutable that John Askey's Port Vale concede in the last minute a

So your happy we consistently we lose games in the last 10 minutes or so

You can't keep changing our manager....that means new players, new formations and upheaval. Changing manager risks upsetting the season so far. Agreed we've lost today but we're playing a top 6 team, on their own ground. FFS do you think we're entitled to win every match?

Players worked hard. Defeat is harsh. Legge's clumsiness x 2 cost us dear.

Brisley MOTM for his cameo. Even before the sending off we dried up from an attacking perspective.

We have too many players who don't get into the game enough and need to affect it more.

They were always going to load the box in the last minute.

McKirdy had a good showing in the previous game and was left on the bench.

Legge was a hard one.  He was playing well, but having been booked so early in the match should have known to calm down and no man handle players in front of the ref.

JA and CO with some weird subs.  Why Robinson instead of McKirdy on the wing.  We can see this, so why not JA and CO.  McKirdy had fun on the wing the other night.

JA and Co will just say it was one of those games and we need to pick the players up for the next game, when I can play at being the manager and not change our tactics.  I will play 1 up front and hope Cullen is not man marked out of the game and the other team could help us and score an own goal maybe.

Disappointing but we played our part in a decent entertaining game, until the sending off.

We created a good few openings, although they probably had the better chances.

My personal feeling is that the manager should be able to trust his captain on a yellow so I don’t see not substituting Legge as a management issue.

Easy to say that we need to close out games but that’s not easy against the league leaders in difficult conditions.

Another sickener in the 90+min is still hard to take.

How about keeping 11 players on the pitch for a start.

I was just thinking the same .. I can not believe Vale let this happen again. Last week down to 10 men . And this week. Down to 10 men and Last kick of the  goal . Kick . Please get a Grip of your players MR Askey .

Unfortunately I am going to completely change my mind based on the 13 games.

I actually think Pope is still number one option.

Cullen is no good on his own. Theo for whatever reason it just isn't happening though I'm not sure today Is a yardstick for him. Rodney is a headless chicken.

Pope will end up top scorer again and I'll eat my words

Ok with the assistance of hindsight tell me what you would have done after Legge was sent off.

Brought McKirdy on instead of Robinson.  McKirdy had a good game the other night coming off the wing.  Robinson seems to want all the time at the moment.

Take Cullen off and for Brisley.

Late goal stats under Askey: Update

During the 18/19 games - we conceded 3 from 28 during the last 10 mins of a game (11%)

During the 19/20 games - we conceded 9 from 44 during the last 10 mins of a game (20%)

This season - we've conceded 4 from 13 during the last 10 mins of a game (30%)

I'm slowly swinging towards changing the manager after today - he has no idea how to see out a game.

Same tactics again that have been worked out by the opposition since start of the season how about try somethin different

Nothing wrong with the tactics today. We even made good substitutions but if you can't keep 10 men on the pitch and concentrate until the final whistle then it doesn't matter what you're tactics are.

Will not call for As key to go, but something must change. Use of subs very poor, how many were telling him to hook Legge off. Askey is far to predictable. We are one dimensional. We must have the bluntest s strike force in the division, I am afraid we are top heavy with journeyman. Two must win games this week, but cannot see it happening

According to some we have apparently improved on last season. Really don’t see it myself
