Just bugger off and be done with it

Im a fully paid up card carrying Communist where football is concerned, I believe that every club should get the chance due to good governance and management to get as high as possible in the league structure, it's not an exclusive club, every club in my mind is as good as the next and should not be handicapped. in it's pursuit of success.

I would actively encourage any club that wants to break away to leave and not to bang the door on the way out.

Football is a business now and money dictates their every move, particularly the foreign owners.

Such a European League might prove interesting for a short time but the novelty will wear off with the same teams playing the same teams playing the same teams and it will lose its lustre.

I too would be tempted to say if you go we don't want you back. I'm not sure all the fans will back such a move either. Times have changed, I know that, but it isn't too long ago when a few of those teams were outside the top flight and should remember where they came from.

I see that the Geordies have protested against having to pay the £14.95 pay per view last weekend when they played MUFC. Fans donated the money to a local charity and raised £20k. Greedy SKY will not like this, may it continue across the country with other EPL fans

I would impose penalties if they left eg. No return for 10 years and stringent re entry fees to be paid in compensation. But we all know that would be fanciful on my part.

Manchester United have form with this kind of thing not wanting to play in the FA Cup was it it 1998/99,they all know money talks in football, similar arguments were used when the Premier League was set up and that went through and as revolutionary as these plans are, I can see them going ahead., if they do, I hope the remaining clubs stay firm and make it difficult to return.

When the Premier League announced they didn't fancy Project Big Picture and that the £250 million for the EFL disappeared, their statement really stressed how all the Premier League clubs were unanimously behind the decision to cancel Project Big Picture and carry on as normal with the Premier League. Looks like it!

Will their U21 teams play in the Premier League?

As far as I'm concerned they join the 'Euro League' lock, stock and barrel - and no remnant teams e.g. U21s left behind to mess around in the English competitions.

Pretty sure this has been reported at least once a year for the past 30 years and nothing ever comes of it.

Though I suppose people say "my dog doesn't bite" and then at some point they say "oh he's never done that before!". So you never know.
