Well beaten today. We can crow about the missed penalty (which was about as soft as Morecombe’s last week) but aside from Rodney’s miss we haven’t created anything of note. I was one of those who wanted to see 442 but it’s pretty clear we haven’t got the strength, athleticism, guile etc in midfield to play this way. But 433 also exposes the weaknesses up top particularly without Amoo. As I say, back to the drawing board as we certainly do not look promotion material, more relelgation fodder.

Absolutely embarrassing performance. Toothless up front, 0 output from any of them. We'd have been better playing two traffic cones in the middle compared to Burgess and Whitehead, completely anonymous. A number of players seem to have regressed since last year, Worrall and Burgess being chief amongst them. Need to find a winning formula soon cause the last two league games have been pretty pathetic.

I’m not going to get into a discussion with someone who suggested I was pleased the vale conceded so I could prove a point against a formation. That WAS a stupid thing to say.

It should now be 2-2 according you your view of the game after Brown saved after Legges back pass.

None of which changes the fact that we have been totally over run in midfield... which is all I have said all game.

I actually like the idea of 442 in certain circumstances. We should have gone 442 against Morcambe with 30 mins to go.

If you read back over this thread tomorrow you will see how you have flown off the handle over me simply pointing out my opinion over where we were going wrong today.

I get that today is frustrating, but this has been a bizaar attack.

Ref is not being consistent and just seems to be booking our players, when their players do the same, they get nothing.

Our players seem unable or unwilling to shoot at goal and prefer to pass to another player to take a shot.  Is our confidence that low now?
