Being an idiot? And I said the stupid thing?

It was blatantly obvious as soon as you put that before the game started you would be whining on about it all match. We get it you don’t like 442 and you like to see that everyone who wanted the change in formation on here to be wrong.

Once again. We haven’t lost this game because of the formation. We have lost it due to poor players. Miss a sitter at 0-0. Miss a penalty at 0-0. You cannot blame this potential defeat on the formation when we should have been 2-0.

Im not arguing about the midfield. That’s obvious. But we still should have been 2-0 up? Or is that idiotic as well?

We are losing this game because of the formation, the Vale have been overun in midfield and I'm disappointed Askey fell for it, Carlisle's manager said in the week how strong his midfield was and how full of running they were.

But Askey clearly went for legs this game in midfield. He forgot all about the actual quality bit.

Yes but we should have been 2-0. So therefore it was working. I completely get we’ve been over run. Be regardless of that we’ve missed an open goal and a penalty at 0-0.

Two up front isn't necessarily a dirty word. Walsall managed to do it last season with Gordon and the other lad and they still bossed us in the middle of the park for long spells.

If you are going to play a front two, your midfield has to be spot on. Ours hasn't. We were outnumbered and outfought. Burgess and Whitehead weren't the two.

I did wonder before the game if Askey was only picking this formation so he could say "I told you so" afterwards.

Long and short of it is, horses for courses. They were wrong last week and they're wrong this week.

Can only see one side scoring and that is not us.

We should have been 2 up, but find ourselves 1 down.

Bring on the next match and hope the players find what has gone missing from their play.

Thank you Brown for another cracking save.  Could have been 2 down after a sloppy back pass.
