PS5 v Xbox Series X/S

Recommended Posts

I just upgraded from a nintendo wii and PlayStation classic to an xbox 360 for 60 euros. Will keep me busy during the lockdown.

Can't justify the price of a second xbox 1 let alone the xs. It's just not value for money these days. The games all seem to focused on single player or multilayer online and all the DLCs.

Maybe I've just grown past it.

Was trying to figure out what type of game you’re after, but I figure it must be couch co-op? If so I agree there aren’t enough of those. I like to play with the other half but we have to use two machines. It’s fine for us though, no kids lol.

I've got a spare Xbox 360 sat here doing nothing because I don't have a controller for it. My old flatmate left it here when he moved out. You can connect two or more together over a LAN can't you?

Yes exactly. But xbox 360s have some really decent coop split screen games already - I was just saying that buying an xbox xs or ps5 when the split screen games aren't really made anymore seems like a waste of time

Two machines? Same room gaming is possible in the switch though again for most games you need two machines, though you can get the lite now.

I ending up getting a PS5 digital edition on launch day and I have to say it's been impressive so far (loading times stand out), after making the jump from an early version PS4. I've had a 4K tv for ages and it's great to finally see games at a completely different level. I'm especially looking forward to my Fifa upgrade next Friday and if the PS5 version can get as close to what they've done with NBA21 it will be a huge leap forward in visuals.
