I thought Monty did some really good stuff first half and looked lively. But he can get caught out positionally allowing the opposition to get behind us. I don’t believe we should be making do with conveyed players in a position like that.  I also think we’ve been crying out for years for a left back.

Couple of poor goals to concede from both sides in this second half. From our point of view we pressed well to force the mistake for the goal. Then at the other end we gifted them the ball and Mills should have put his foot through it.

I was going say. Clearly can do no wrong in his eyes. Haven't heard a single word of praise for Vale, it's all about them.

The commentary is the same for both ours and Blackpool’s YouTube channel. It’s a joint effort that’s why they are commentating together.

That Blackpool commentator is doing my head in now as well. Bet he goes down the boozer and bores everyone with stories about Blackpool and how they were in the premier league once.

We look incredibly clumsy in defence, but is it right to even comment on a pre season friendly after so long out? The rest is unprecedented in league history so I won’t get too worked up.

For me, the fourth striker signing is now looking crucial. With Pope out for six games and Cullen's injury history, it's going to be asking an awful lot for Rodney to come in and immediately be the first choice striker. He's shown glimpses but it may take him a little while to adapt from non-league to League Two. I'd say we really need an experienced and fit fourth choice.

p.s is Fitzpatrick very one-paced or is the pace of the Blackpool forwards making him look slow?

Hamilton I think was about the fastest player in league two last year, so he's up against it. They've played 2 games already which is perhaps why we still look a bit rusty at times.

CJ Hamilton is incredibly quick.
