Not sure if Taylor is ready for the championship yet. But I hope he gets his chance with Forest.

Gibbos definitely injured. Hes been spotted going in to the ground in a leg brace, hopefully it’s not too long term. I agree that he’s a big miss, for me one of the best full backs in the league and he can get better. But this could be Mills big chance to shine and will show how Askeys recruitment has been in covering for players like Gibbo.

1)Manny Oyeleke fit is our best player.

2)Manny Oyeleke won player of the season and signed for Port Vale

3)Players of the season play regularly injury free.

4)Manny Oyeleke unlike Cullen had no injury record before joining Port Vale

5)Manny Oyeleke turned Vegan returned lighter and fit.

6)Manny Oyeleke has now missed weeks of pre-season and every friendly

7)What is going on?

Agree with point 1. However manny and Cullen have consistently been injured at previous clubs. Both would be in a higher league if not for their injury records imo.

Manny has only played 34 league games for us in 2 seasons. If that’s not injury prone I’m not sure what is.

Cullen constantly injured for Blackpool and only played 18 league games for us.

Somehow managed to post this in the wrong thread originally.

Thanks for this.

Pretty useless though!

Might explain why the club didn't bother.

I'm still baffled by the lack of information about the game, especially against the general background of transparency.

It doesn't add up.

What doesn’t add up? Fans don’t particularly need to know about the ins and outs of friendlies.

What we don't know is the covid restrictions on people entering the ground we used so it may well have just been the playing and coaching staff who were present. Some of the Vale media team were covering Emile Heskey training the youth team so there was a resources issue. I agree there could have been more information within those restrictions. Basic first half, second half teams and any substitutions could still have been done even without a full match report.

From the video it appears we played 442 for part of the first half with Pope and Cullen paired up front (although Pope may have replaced Cullen when he got injured), then reverted to 433, with Rodney on the left and Robinson down the middle.

I thought I saw a number 24 playing and had a look at the First Team Profiles. They have updated it fully, apart from Joe Berks who is down as number 24. I was under the impression he was with Newcastle Town now. Have we taken him back as counts as an under 21 player or was it just an oversight when they deleted all the players who had left the club?

I think David Fitzpatrick is number 24

That would make sense. Assume Visser would be 12 as that tends to be what we use for a keeper and Robinson will take 14 or 16.

It doesn't matter much other than to satisfy the eagerness of fans to see the new players and how things are shaping up but I'm surprised a big team like Forest didn't have comprehensive highlights - for their own training purposes as much as anything.

Unless my eyesight is a bit rubbish, it was a good job Theo nicked that one right on the line or else it would have been two OGs.

Ah yes, a striker`s instinct is to be in the right place at the right time. They all count, did we not hit the post as well?

They seem to be more concerned about the multi-million moves in and out of the Trees befitting former  twice European champions.

It may be that some clubs don't want their opposition to see them play.

In the past I would imagine that scouts would attend pre season games and submit reports to the first few opponents.

This season with the lockdown there has been a high turnover of players and limited people at games. Some teams may want to keep their formations, patterns of play and potential team selections away from the public domain.
