Can’t say they are black, it has to be, they are of colour.

yes I know white is of colour

yellow is of colour, but hey ho, the worlds gone mad.

Erm....I wonder if anyone’s told Black lives matter that you can’t say black?

Just hope this BLM thing is not carried on into next season and players start taking the knee cus I'll just turn my back on them.  I'll take the knee for the fallen and the Queen only.

I find it difficult to believe that two people could find it necessary to “laugh” at Shian’s comment. You may not neccesserily agree with his comments, Which is fine. But to try and belittle some

Very important thread this.

Yer Da having a hissy fit about the naming of bra colours.

Intellectuals only. Dawn Butler getting a shoutout.

Genuinely really funny.

A bit patronising there Joe and not really needed, by the way it was Kusi Kimani having the hissy fit about the colours not me I thought they were quite acceptable and in my opinion (If I'm allowed one in this day and age) choice of cocoa, chocolate and caramel would have been more contentious.

By the way what does Yer Da men ?

Rather than giving this woman any time of day whatsoever, M&S would have been better just telling her (in kinder terms) to sling her hook.

Who is she to tell a multi million pound High Street company on how to market their products ?

As far I t can gather there are in the region of 63M people in this country and ONE person has commented. Yet because of the current PC overplay, M&S seem fit to act.

And before anyone accuses me of being racist, I would point out that my wife is Jewish and the love of my life was Indian.

Some people need to get a grip of themselves.

I'm genuinely creasing up hahaha

This thread is exactly what I hoped it to be. Proper snowflake behaviour

Some middle aged blokes seething about the naming of bras. Hell in a handcart scenes.

"You won't be able to say the word white in future"

BLM not even mentioned - "I only take the knee for queen and country".

I've never seen such fragility. Life's too short and full of good stuff gents.

Keep them coming lads!

At times like this, the more sarcastic of the OVF community may state the much quoted George Bernard Shaw line.

However, perhaps the Woody Allen line of “those who can’t do, teach. And those who can’t teach, teach gym” may be more appropriate.

Yet people will get upset about the colour of bra’s.

Crazy.

Utter lunacy. I have several bras which are black. Should I burn them??

Ha Ha Jacko very true wondering how soon  it will be before wearing a bra will be considered sexist. Note as a man I will not be pushing to wear one but as the lunacy spreads expecting the argument to go down these lines.

Im glad there is a bunch of middle aged white men here to tell a young black woman what she can be offended by.

As an old guy I don't care what she is offended by. I am sùrprised at m&s. If the price offends me will they reduce it? If I'm offended by the amount of power used for electric doors will they turn them off? If the use of geletine in products offends me will they stop using it (didn't work well when tried).

She has the right to say it.

I have the right to laugh at it.

M&S have the right to do something about it before everyone and their dog jumps on the bandwagon of outrage.

How long will it be before someone sees red and white stripes representing the blood on white skinned colonialist hero's ....and is racist?

Give it time.

I don't know what planet Professor Brian Cox is on but is latest tweet says "I'm sick of this 'British People' nonsense,it's inflammatory and divisive. The phrase should be banned from political discourse."

So there you go.Things Can Only Get Better?

I don't know what planet Professor Brian Cox is on but is latest tweet says "I'm sick of this 'British People' nonsense,it's inflammatory and divisive. The phrase should be banned from political discourse."

So there you go.Things Can Only Get Better?

And when asked if he meant he thought you should be allowed to say ‘British people’ he answered:

“Don’t be so silly. Of course, but what I am arguing is that saying ‘Policy X is the will of the British People’ implies that if you disagree with policy X then you are not one of the British people. It’s a well worn path to some very dark places in history.”

He followed up his original tweet with:

“Some are (deliberately?) misunderstanding this. The point is that invoking ‘the will of the people’ or derivatives in promoting policy is a well-rehearsed propaganda technique and has no place in our democratic dialogue. Once elected, Government must seek to unify, not to divide.”

“Furthermore, governments can be radical / reforming without using division as a governing technique. This government has a large majority and need not apologise for its policy choices; it was elected on a manifesto. But it should calibrate its language much more responsibly.”

So he was not arguing not to use it, but they way it is used by politicians. But don’t let any subtlety or context get in the way. Obviously this means we can longer say the word white or black anymore. I half expect an ‘oi cox..nooooo’ from you.
