Macclesfield relegated after efl appeal

Recommended Posts

Every time I think the EFL has demonstrated its incompetence in managing L2, I remind myself of the utter chaos, ineptitude and moral bankruptcy that they've displayed in the Championship. I've lost track of the detail but when you have Sheffield Wednesday avoiding relegation despite fielding players they couldn't afford (and taking six points off relegated Charlton in the process) and Derby also likely to avoid a points deduction in 2019-20 season for allegedly similar offences, there is something seriously wrong with their governance. It's so serious the EFL itself needs to be investigated but can anyone tell me anyone in football who would have the competence to do it?

JA owed £173k, what a state of affairs they seem to have been allowed to trade under.

Which begs the question why when Askey left for Shrewbury they appointed such a high profile guy as Sol Campbell ?

Just how did they propose to pay his wages.

Tip of the iceberg. Sadly more clubs will fold.

Meanwhile in other football news....................

Gareth Bale reportedly on 60 grand a week , yes a week , is close to rejoining Spurs.

Bale taking a pay cut 🙂 he was on a reported 600k a week. But if teams want success and go over the top that is the issue. I would glady sign a contract for £600k if it was offered. Who do you blame the player or the system/fans/owners that need the success. A bit like anything in life, for a few keeping up with the Joneses seems to rule. I always wanted the best boots but got some cast offs 😞 but I survived.
