This is the Accrington revised guideline, obviously all clubs will be different due to capacity, concourses, facilities, entrance/exit, etc.

https://www.accringtonstanley.co.uk/news/2020/august/update-match-protocol-for-returning-fans-and-season-ticket-update/

I presume the Vale may need test events as above, but it seems possible that fans will be back quiet soon.

Based on Accrington's plans then they appear to be allowing 28% capacity.

This would suggest if ours is 19052 we are allowed around 5300.

28% is a very specific number.

I would bet it is a very specific number because much of the ground is terracing, and because of the very small, narrow facilities they have in terms of concourses.

I reckon ours would a greater number.

I would assume its 30% but they've had to segregate little bits off for example.

Just been chatting to a Stokie mate at work, they are splitting their season tickets up in to 2 batches of 11 home games for each season ticket, with 9000 being sold to each game. So in effect they are trying to allow one of half their season ticket holders to see half the home matches and the other half will get to see the other 11.

The interesting thing is that they are expecting crowds back in after 2 home games and they are allowing approx. 30% capacity in to the ground, if that's the case for us too then we should easily manage to get everyone in that wants to see us play.

If I've read this right, the test event between Brighton and Chelsea is only allowed to have 2500 fans. That's just over 8% of the total. I presume that's not going to be the final figure or we're down to about 1500. Fingers crossed!

As I understand it, they only used one of the four stands for that game.

That's correct. Apparently Stokie have based their 9000 on all 4 stands with no away fans in. Which I guess with us would allow us around 5500 in for home games.

What is the actual capacity of Vale Park these days? Assuming the new part of the Lorne Street is not available? 19052 is bounded about but not sure if that includes the Lorne Street new section?
