Seems a strange one to me as JA is quoted as saying we’re after someone to push Brownie.

You’d have to guess that the other Keeper is the one we’re actually more interested in and he’s just covering his options by having a look at Visser.

I would agree. Was hoping for a young lad released by a Cat 1 academy, 3 year deal, willing to sit on the bench for a season or two.

Brown is a hero but we need to plan for his succession. Think he's out of contract at the end of this season?

No he hasn't, but he's been in and around squads, is used to that number two role and is still young enough to learn and become a number one. I'd love a young lad in the mold of Sam Hornby to come in but if its Visser I wouldn't be disappointed either.

It’s ok we were never in for Oates

Were we for Ironside?

Even if we were, the lad would probably be looking for a club where he's guaranteed a start, which he most likely will be with Cambridge, but not with us.

Harvey Bradbury 21 along with Rodney 22 suggests a pattern as both will learn a lot and in terms of development when training with and playing with Cullen and Pope both should quickly advance as players....it's that sort of common sense expected of Askey as both Pope despite age and Cullen despite injury record are both quality with significant experience which is an asset in itself in terms of bringing through a couple of young forwards with potential.

Dino Visser was at Crewe and is therefore local and probably wants another contract in the football league and continue living the dream rather than return to South Africa so could be eminently affordable.....and the midfield signing looks like it could possibly Whitehead after all......still probably be a few trialists to look at as potential loan signings as back up insurance and almost certainly left back and midfield in short just incase Askey can't get Clark and Taylor back on loan.

Is Harvey Bradbury a rumour from twitter or is it confirmed?

Unconfirmed rumours maybe but they are our unconfirmed rumours and talking points....Visser/Whitehead/Bradbury all look realistic and if not Clark and Taylor then a couple of other young loan players to augment the squad numbers.....it's incredible after so many years of utter chaos that this is how a well run club looks like.

None of the names mentioned seem to have any sort of experience in the football League. For me that’s worrying of not a little desperate. Sounds like resigning the players has been the priority but we desperately need another proven forward, midfield goal scorer and we need Clark back as left back.

Its all rumours, but I can't lie, Visser + Whitehead + Bradbury wouldn't get me very excited.

Taylor was a 10+ goal a season midfielder; a diamond at this level. Clark was the best player on the pitch in every game of his short tenure. Is there any hope of getting them back?

Mills and Rodney are steady signings, but Whitehead and Bradbury wouldn't quite be the 'quality' signings we need if we're going to hope to compete with Bolton, Salford etc.

I've been very, very positive about the club for over a year but have consistently stressed that this summer's recruitment had to be spot on.

GK Brown (Visser)

RB Gibbons/Mills

CB Smith/Legge/Brisley/Crooke

LB Montano/Cambell-Gordon (Clark)

RM Burgess (Whitehead)

CM Joyce/Oyeleke

LM Conlon (Taylor)

RW Amoo/Browne

CF Pope/Cullen/Rodney (Bradbury)

LW Worral/Hurst

SQUAD 20 players now plus 3 permanent 2 loans =25.....so a keeper and a midfielder and striker as permanent signings as stated while the two loans has to be a left back and midfielder you would think.
