I think as an existing player they offered a contract to before the new rules came into place they can still count him as 67,000 for this season, provided they pay what they initially offered.

I was not too fused on Maynard. I hope we gave him the Friday deadline take it or leave it offer and now we move on.

We want players who see the club, have a chat to the owners,manager about the style of play and where they fit in and WANT to sign.

Quite happy to move on if the Maynard deal doesn’t work out.  The main thing is that we can add a dozen or more goals.  I’m happy enough with Cullen and Rodney but still feel that in this league we need to add a bigger, taller player in the style of Pope.  I’d be confident that a fit Cullen, given a run of games, will score more than he did last season.

Could be an agent playing games to up the price or wages I gues or to get others interested.

Most Mansfield fans think he has left.
