Transfer Rumours Pre-Season

I agree there. Vale are a big club for this league. We never should have been relegation fodder from lesgue one ket alone facing relegation battles in league two.

Carol and Kevin have worked wonders in a short space. Imagine what can be done in time.

It’s exciting times and maybe we just have to let the past go and enjoy this ride, tough as it may be.

Ground looks great, even little things like the new boards on the shop with iconic images and wording, like the Earle image etc.

18 months ago we thought we were done and likely to go bust (god imagine what had happened with Smurf during Covid) but we got what we wanted and it feels like we are really on the start of a great journey.

Maynard doesn’t sign then im confident we will go and get someone capable. We are not scraping the barrel these days.

That is it. some amazing things have happened in a short space of time. Seeing Robbie around the club is great again. Nothing but credit where it is due to the new owners.

Little things go a long way. How many times in your life has someone given you a small gift, something perhaps not worth much at all in value, and yet it means a lot to you and is more important that things that cost hundreds of pounds? For me it's the same sort of thing when you see newly painted fences and walls at Vale Park. Or a sign replaced for something more modern or snazzy looking. These little touches can really enhance the look of a club, which can only help when you're showing potential signings around the place. I'd wager that we have one of the top few stadiums in the league. And on top of that people will only hear good things about the owners, Carol and Kevin. And in John Askey we have a very organised and calm manager that I think players will enjoy playing for. When you think about it, it's absolutely crazy how far we have done already in such a short space of time. It's just a shame that the world as a whole is in a pretty poor place right now and we can't all fully embrace it as we would like to. At least not yet.

Nothing wrong with getting just a little carried away at the moment,  as long as we all remember that it's The Vale we're talking about. But then again this is the New Vale and it feels amazing,  even though a ball hasn't been kicked yet. We've got a totally different feel, backed up with great PR hype. Be honest when have we ever had video with that production quality,  let alone for the launch of a shirt - an away one at that?

That S.O.B Smurthwaite turned us in to a failing pub team/club, now in comparison,  Carol and Co. have made us feel like Vale Madrid  WNE is amazing and I can't imagine what the buzz would be like if we can convert all this in to a team that can challenge for promotion. I'd love to be recognised by other clubs, for all the right reasons, when Port Vale are in town.

Finally, just take a breath and remember that our amazing owners hadn't got any notable football experience when they rescued us. Now they are one of the most respected owners in the entire EFL with countless national acclaims that's transformed the image of Our Vale.

Port Vale, the pride of The Potteries,  Staffordshire  and The North.

Thank you Carol, Kevin, Synectics  and the whole Team involved

I honestly despair with some Vale fans...

Is it bred into our DNA that we have to seek out negativity????

As I'm typing this, we've have just launched the nicest football strip I can remember, designed by an international superstar, we are linked with a top name striker and everything should be positive.

The club and its directors are responsible for this positivity. They also try hard to engage with fans via social media to keep us updated, something we all cried out for in the past.

At the VERY worst, there has been crossed wires over a tweet Martin sent out late last night.

All this talk of 'he's played us like a fiddle' if quiet frankly pathetic.
What has he got to gain by 'misleading' fans?

We are all disappointed that Maynard has not been announced this evening, but let's start acting our age and stop looking for someone to blame.

They forget where we were under the last regime, everything that is happening at the Vale at the moment is 10 times better than anything that has gone before in recent years.

I would go as far as saying 1000 times better. You can’t even compare the two. We have absolutely amazing owners who are running the club properly.
