why is only one stand open on some cup matches? to cut the costs!

But that’s because the expected attendances don’t warrant opening all the stands.  The current situation is different.  We’re talking about a regular match day when all stands would be open.

The only thing costing more would be providing staff with additional training and PPE.

Extra toilets. Extra food kiosks, more cleaning and extra stewards to make sure everyone is following the rules its going to cost a lot more to put games on just like its costly for any business that is reopening during this covid

Extra toilets? Extra food kiosks? What!?

If there is, for example, 3,500 supporters in the Railway Stand/Paddock, and you spread a percentage of them across the four stands, then the queues for the kiosks and toilets would be eased dramatically. Therefore, you simply reduce the current staff levels in that particular area due to the decrease in supporter numbers, and utilise them in another stand. Exactly the same all the way around the ground.

Same amount of supporters = same amount of staff. Simple really. Instead of having 3 or 4 on the Paddock kiosk, you could halve that to 2, and use those 2 individuals in the Hamil End. It’s not really that difficult to understand.

The only extra costs would be sufficient training, PPE and sanitising stations.
