Black Lives Matter

Matt Le Tissier also expressing doubts about the organisation.

Lets get the propaganda and marketing slogans of the far left off our football shirts, lets stop pretending that we have to pander to them because we're scared of what they'll say if we don't.

We all seemingly agree that we need a level of honesty if we're going to improve race relations in this country. We can take a big stride towards that by ****ing the extremists off who want to control the narrative.

Thankfully 99% of footballers are fully behind racial equality despite odd balls on the right trying to hijack the agenda and blur the message.

Is this referring to Matt Le Tissier and Karl Henry? Weird post otherwise.

I love how dismissing FAR LEFT ideologies is equal to being an odd ball on the right. Sir Keir must be an oddball on the right too.

And to imply that  either of them are not fully behind racial equality is horrendous, but considering one of them is black then this is pretty shameful.

Open your eyes.

Premier League: Black Lives Matter campaign 'not endorsement of political movement' - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/53242328

Good but too little and too late. It doesn't take a few rambling tweets attacking Isreal to spot a far left organisation. It takes about 2 minutes reading their policy goals.

Everything seems like far left when you're so far right.

Can you qualify that AT ALL? Like one example of a far right style policy that I would agree with?

Maybe the 30th time I've asked that question on here and no one has ever even attempted to answer it by the way.

I had not realised that the UN was a far left organisation,  just because it does not agree with the forced occupation of adjacent countries?

Not what I said though was it? Do the UN ramble on about Israel non stop? Do they try and pin the blame for George Floyd's death on Israel? Do they use "Israel" instead of "Jew"? Do they want to abolish capitalism?

Can we add Patrice Evra to the list of odd-ball right wing racists now that he has apparently sacked off this political badge?

The only staggering thing is that football thought it was acceptable in the first place.

The Daily Mail report that some people have not worn a badge and you use that as an argument that footballers have had enough of BLM? Daily mail for christs sake.

The other issue RB is that you have found something to latch onto now other than original reason for black lives matter which you were against from the start (before talk of defunding the police/Israel etc) wonder why that was? Now for you it's all about these other points raised more recently than your objections. You are transparent. As for the far right comment its pretty obvious to most. Nationalism disguised as patriotism, tick. Obsession with crimes committed by other nationalities or religions, tick. Labelling everything you dont agree with as far left, tick. The list goes on.

Henry is a climate change denier, supported the bedroom tax, a paid up and active member of the Tory Party. Hardly a-typical.

The focus should be on racial equality and support for black people in the world, not arguing the toss over X, Y & Z in a nasty campaign to equate racial equality with the "far left", and effectively turn a moral imperative into some kind of cultural war between black and white and left and right.

Premiership millionaire footballers and managers are not far left wingers.

Luckily most people appreciate that racial equality is worthy of all our support, despite a lunatic fringe on all sides, and the principle that black lives matter because they haven't mattered enough in the past.

And that's all there is to it.
