8 goals and 7 assists is a great return.

He looked half-decent for us; worked really hard and was in a really, really poor team. He lacked a final ball but that's often the case with youngsters. Good to see him flourishing.

The loan market is so hit and miss isn't it. We have had some real duffers and also some who have forged really good careers. The main one that springs to mind for me is Romaine Sawyers who was signed by Gannon of all people. What a player he turned out to be. Gannon also signed O'Shea another quality player who had a good career. 

As you say Harness was a young lad in one of the worst Port Vale teams ever so it was a real baptism of fire. 

The much maligned Pyke has also found himself a league above us as he was at Rochdale.
