Might have been discussed already, so apologies if so.

How does the proposed £1.25k compare to current salaries?

I would guess we operate around £1.25m annually, maybe a tad more.

I thought I remembered a number of £1.4m from somewhere, but I might be going mad. I'm also not sure if that was total salaries including back office.

I don't follow Rugby Union, but I have seen stuff about Saracens being relegated .

Was that related to breaking the salary cap ?

If so it begs the question how is it policed ? I get the demotion but surely intervention is better in the first place .

If it was nothing to do with salaries ignore my post !!

I think was was to do with the cap... I think it was to do with the Chairman "Investing" in businesses that the players set up therefore effectively paying them more and then not declaring.

His argument was that players careers are short and Im helping them have a life after rugby.

Everyone else's view was "But that's why you have attracted a load of big names so its against the spirit"

Amazingly, Gordon Taylor from the PFA says that we shouldn't have a salary cap in football because it would lead to teams being demoted like Saracens.... surely breaching the cap got them relegated rather than the cap itself.

I struggle to comprehend why he is still in charge into his 70's and on about 4 Million a year ?

Brendan Batson would of been a decent replacement but I was amazed to see he is 67

After him I can only think of Ben Purkiss !!
