Monday's "live" vintage Port Vale game is...

a bit of a left-field choice here, but it's the 1995 home game against Tranmere Rovers.

This tape was contributed by an OVF member (sorry, not certain which of you passed this one on) and it's actually a really entertaining game.

Note: at this time, I think I've only got about 3 or 4 full games remaining in my collection. If you have any videos or DVDs containing full games from the past and are happy to post them to me / rip a copy please drop me a PM.

The Tranmere game was a good one, it's a shame more people won't have seen it because the ITV live matches were done regionally and I think Central chose something else that afternoon. Granada always gave us better coverage than Central but you probably needed two aerials on your roof and an A/B splitter to watch it.

I'm tempted to try to rip a whole 90 minute match but I'm not sure what size file it would be.

Somebody on facebook in the wonder of port vale was looking to offload aload of vale videos yesterday no idea what games they were though. 

Was this the game on Granada tv think tankard scored a 20 yard thunderbolt.

They vary a fair bit on my machine. Anything from 3.5 Gb to 10Gb. 

I've got a large Dropbox business account I use for OVF content so I upload them to there when done so it saves the space on my laptop. 

If you do manage to do one and are happy to have me link to it, I would be delighted to use one of yours on a Monday too.

Agreed. Went to both finals but it is surprising how the games slip your mind. Both were great days out with the kids. The Stockport sublime football we played, Brentford we just kept going and got our just rewards. The Stoke cup tie they tried to kick us out of it, again we battled, as Sage says what a fine team we had. As someone who started going in the fifties, what a wonderful period it was, lets hope it returns UTV.
