Whilst we’re on the subject of centre halves, who was the lad we had from Spurs on loan, who I thought was absolute class. He commanded and organised the defence brilliantly and wasn’t afraid of dribbling the ball out of defence.
Your help is greatly appreciated.

Kevin Scott?

Chris Slater callum howe and richard walker are the 3 I'd say. I think callum howe only made 3 appearances for us Cheltenham 5 vale 1 vale 1 carlise 2 and cambridge 5 vale nil plus we paid a fee for him. Walker got be the slowest centre back we have ever had and Slater we signed him based on his performance against us for chase town and he was hopeless and soon ended up back there.

Wayne Ceilelgski  Wayne Chegelski er...... Wayne Chi....forget it, you might know who I mean, good first season came back for the 2nd about 3st over weight and as slow as the proverbial cart horse.

A bit unfair to single him out. Quite a few of the 82/83 promotion-winning team were absolutely bobbins the following season.

A special message to the younger fans.

I realise that Bob Delgado will mean jack sh*t to you, but I implore thee to make him at least one of your selections.

It will be an absolute travesty if he does not make this team. Never before has someone been more deserving of this accolade.

You only have to vote for him. Us old duffers had to pay to watch the useless tw*t.

And he looked like the Yorkshire Ripper.

Ironically didn`t we buy him with Peter Sutcliffe going in part exchange, not great business in hindsight.

It looks like Bob Delgado is pretty cert to top the vote but as there's two places up for grabs I'm still keen for any more nominations too.

I think we've got

Delgado, Gary Pollard, Chris Slater, Richard Walker

on the vote shortlist already.

Anyone else want to propose some names? We've had McGivern, Robertson, Bowles, Higgins, Howe, MacIntosch all mentioned once - to get on the vote I need at least two users to mention them so anyone want to second any of those names?
