That's not the point and you know it. Every viewer on that regular matchday facebook stream is another one who isn't paying for ifollow or a match ticket themselves.

Yeah, that is what I meant. I wasn't criticising the club, it's a nice gesture - just whether the facebook streaming (which is defo illegal) is depriving the club of cash.

I know. I was reinforcing your point not having a dig mate.

Does anyone else remember in the QPR game I think ( may be wrong ) Tony Naylor ' scored ' with a header which was way over the line but not given and played on.

Not sure exactly what the score was at the time.

Like I say I might be dreaming it but I swear that's how I recall it .

I think we were 4-0 up and that disallowed goal would have made it 5.

can remember not being too bothered about the goal being disallowed as we were 4-0 up, that was before the second half.

Showing the QPR game under the current lockdown would be a bridge too far in my opinion, as would any defeats v the Sh1te

Seriuosly though this thread has given me the impetus to dig out my old videos and VHS player.  I've almost forgotten what Saint and Greavsie look like. 🤔

Is the Wembley game deffo being shown on here?

I'm still testing - and in fact I am doing so right now. The previous tests sadly resulted in poor quality in terms of video and audio which is why I haven't committed to anything yet. If this one works out I will let you all know.

If it does all work then to avoid conflict with the official Vale stream which is happening at 3pm today I will show the Autoglass Trophy final at 3pm Sunday but that is very much subject to whether I can get the video quality right.

As this is a 27 year old video tape it's tricky to get it into any decent quality but fingers crossed...

If it does work I'll post on here, the OVF frontpage, Twitter and Facebook to confirm it will be played on Sunday 😉

Yet another vote for the Brighton game, please. The whole family were there and, to top it, it was my birthday, so a great present. Love to see it again - everything just went mental when Tinman slotted in the third, right in front of the away end.

By contrast, not the QPR game. I'm another one scarred for life and I don't want ever to see it again!

Hi all,

Likely to be a midweek evening now... the encoding today is literally taking all day (on 24% and I started at 9am) so I don't think I will have time to check it is OK before Sunday.

The first few attempts were very, very grainy so this latest one is being done at much higher quality hence why it is taking so long. However, the good news is that if it does work then I know how to do it. I will certainly look at doing Brighton next...

Thanks for your patience,

Rob

Thought Naylor's goal was at the start of the second half. It was a breakaway attack and the officials were dreadfully behind the play. Robbed.

You could be right, I’ve had a sleep since then.

it would have put us 5-0 up though.

An update from me - it all worked and I tested it this morning.

I am now going to make it live at 7.30pm on Monday. There will be a bit of build-up before the game itself.

The broadcast is the official Vale one from First Team TV. It's unfortunate as the Sky broadcast is great - wonky graphics, Lennie Lawrence and Mark Bright in the studio, old adverts etc - but sadly the quality of that one isn't great so it will have to be the official video.

Check the homepage at around 7.30pm to watch it...

I will now take a look at some others including Brighton and a possible Potteries derby.

Good stuff. Thanks for all this.

Just make sure you don't the tapes mixed up from the following weekend - possibly the worst moment in my time watching the Vale!

There's lots of chat on the commentary about how the Vale can carry this form into the next game! 😉

That one was such an awful disappointment. I think we didn't speak on the journey back to Stoke...

Early on in the 2nd half at the Bycars end in my memory but think it was a shot.. Cant remember if I have the tape or not though.
