Watched the highlights on the tele for that. Artell and the Crewe bench went absolutely mad. 

You didn't need to be a professional lip reader to see what Artell was shouting - why wasn't he himself sent off for Foul and Abusive language ???

Thought exactly the same, disgraceful.  Player fouled to stop a quick counter attack, the ref did his job, sent him off, Artell went absolutely ballistic.  Was booked , but how he wasn't sent off, God alone knows.  But as I posted last week, Artell  seems able to get away with anything doesn't he.

The bloke did what he had to do to stop a last minute counter attack and secure a point. It was a professional foul. Surely an old pro like Artell recognises that. His interview after the Plymouth game was similarly petty.

I remember the days when Crewe used to make a big virtue of their sportsmanship. It was *******s obviously (eg Colin Little’s dive in 1998) but he isn’t even trying to maintain the pretence any more.

Does he ever get pulled up on any of these things? I know he got done for his reaction to the last minute goal they scored against us a couple of seasons ago but you wouldn’t have heard about that on Radio Stoke.

Artell's a right drama queen. There's been worse tackles than that this season alone the last 20 years. A deserved red card but nothing more.

To be fair, the Morecambe player took one for the team in order to preserve their point. It’s frustrating but that is professional football for you.

On a less savoury note, one of the supporters coaches had a brick thrown through the window after the game. Why people do this sort of thing, I have no idea, there had been no trouble at the game from our 1100 supporters.

Exactly, it was a red. No problem with that. It was the stupid overreaction by Artell that was so funny.

I like Artell in the way I find him entertaining and he speaks his mind but he is a cry baby. 

I assume as Crewe are so high and mighty, were they in a similar situation they would let the player run through on goal?

Can't stand the man but can't really argue about what he's acheived this season, at a club with one of the smaller budgets.
