Certification of death is a bit of a complex measure, if you’ve got damaged blood vessels relating to Diabetes and you have covid making your blood cells stickier and you have a heart attack from a massive clot in your coronary arteries… what did you die of? Sure, you were going to die anyway, we all are but covid has to be worth a mention in that scenario.

Agreed. It can be an aggravating factor. But if you've got terminal cancer with a short prognosis then test positive for Covid, you shouldn't be going into the Covid stats. It's been the problem all the way along. If you look at excess deaths, there's only been 9 years with less excess deaths since world war 2 than 2020 based on population.

Is anyone surprised at this?

Why would there be or indeed should there? 6% of hospital beds are currently taken up by people testing positive for Covid. Vaccines supposedly prevent 95%+ of hospitalisations, so where is all this pressure coming from? You can't blame increased flu and a huge backlog of people who have been too scared to get treatment. The NHS has had nearly 2 years to get its house in order. Perhaps they should reduce their rehearsal time for all the tiktok dances.

These people clamouring for further restrictions should be struck off from their positions if they are proved to be wrong. Disgusting fearmongering which is putting more lives and livelihoods at risk. I hope people go back to what these people are saying now in spring next year and bring them to task should they be proved to be wrong again.

What shall we do about the people who are clamouring to prove covid is some sort of hoax? And anti vaxxers? Public hanging? Placed in stocks? Perma ban from the internet?

And there in lies the problem with this country.
Why? None of these silly actions worked previously and the vaccines were sold as the way out. Do you want this threat every year? If we set a precedent now then it will be like this every year. The virus is endemic, we really have got to crack on and stop with all the bedwetting.

I don't agree with those who see Covid as some sort of hoax. These people clamouring for more restrictions seem to get all the air time and when they get proven wrong, again, there's never any comeback.

Not the number of physical beds that matters, it is having the specialist medical staff to deal with the patients.

I agree but we've had 2 years to sort it. Again, perhaps more energy should be concentrated towards training nurses up than rehearsing tiktok dances.

Perhaps more energy to prevent the virus. It certainly works successfully in other countries

Oh god! The modellers are now saying that we could be down to 5000 cases a day by Christmas. With their previous high levels of accuracy I'm now betting on a 10 year lockdown to squash the sombrero. I'm going to order 10,000 masks off Amazon and book in for my next 15 jabs just to be extra safe. I'd also better order some tinned food in. Stay safe everyone.

I've got 16,000 toilet rolls in so let me know if you need any.

Also, you should get more masks, that's only 2,500 days worth if you are like me, and care about people so much that I wear 4 at a time.

Are they competing with Insulate Britain for air time?

I have no time for people blocking motorways and disrupting normal people as they go about their daily lives.

Despite what is happening in your La La land, cases are now rocketing, ok due to the Vaxxing the numbers in hospital’s although rising are not as high as last time. But the cases seriously are, I know a lot of the Tories and their pals are making money out of it, i.e PPE, T and T, Randox etc, but for a change let’s see a bit of deciveness and get to grip with this virus.

Double jabbed people are catching Covid and passing it on to those they live with, warn experts who have studied UK household cases.

Individuals who have had two vaccine doses can be just as infectious as those who have not been jabbed.

Even if they have no or few symptoms, the chance of them transmitting the virus to other unvaccinated housemates is about two in five, or 38%.

This drops to one in four, or 25%, if housemates are also fully vaccinated.

I ask you again. Why do cases matter?
