Personally i do not believe this graphic or that it came from Stockholm University. Looks more like a Facebook or twitter graphic to me. Also its now March 2021 so not sure how fake figures that are 10 months out of date is putting anything in context.

Googled the image and it turns out that it did not come from Stockholm University but from a Canadian city's reddit and in November 2020 not June. Why would you spread misinformation?
Fair enough, poor source and I should have checked. The numbers won't be far off though.

I thought you could not catch it twice?
It seems the vaccine isn't as potent as we hoped or lead to believe.
There are only a handful of cases in the world where there was an apparent occurrence of catching it twice, all very patchy and some they don't even know if they had it in the first place. Same as the asymptomatic myth...theory based on 6 cases worldwide and half of them weren't even tested for Covid-19. As one epidemiological expert put it, asymptomatic infection is biologically implausible. But let's not let that get in the way of a nice story and the catchy '1 in 3 people can infect someone without knowing it' otherwise this doesn't fit with the bogeyman theory.

I had the tissue woman run past me again this morning, puts it to her face like some magical shield. I just laugh.

6 cases worldwide you say? Any source for that?

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-merseyside-55044488

There were hundreds in Liverpool alone found when mass testing started. Unless all the news outlets are lying to everyone all over the world? Seems to be what you're suggesting. Would love to see which expert epidemiologist stated what you just said? I can find more than 1 who disagree completely with no problem.

You really need to find other sources of information than your blog. Your sources have been non existent or just plain misinformation, while laughing off some of the most legitimate sources available. You even admit that you don’t check your source, you just grab whatever fits your world view. Which is completely the wrong way around.

Let's see who is right and who is wrong anyway guys. I have a feeling that you'll have your tail between your legs when this all comes out in the wash. I feel like you will become a minority view in the not too distant future as more stuff comes out.

Those who agree with the government have had monopoly on the scientific and media discourse for the past 12 months and those that have disagreed have been defamated, ridiculed, threatened and deplatformed. It's easy to find sources of support when that's the only game allowed in town.

Are you saying that the scientific community are part of a conspiracy? You keep insisting you aren’t a conspiracy theorist and then say things like that. If there is a ‘monopoly’ in the science, then it means there is a scientific consensus. Your using a lack of evidence to support your arguments as evidence of a conspiracy.
As I’ve said before, when there is the inevitable autopsy of the pandemic, it will most likely say we didn’t lockdown early enough. I think you agreed with that, but it sounded like you were preempting your ‘cover up’ excuse.

No conspiracy, there is plenty of scientific discussion in opposition to this but it isn't often found in mainstream journals like the Lancet. I know if I posted links to some you would dismiss it. They know which side their bread is buttered so won't go against the government.

Just because something isn't on the BBC or the Guardian doesn't make it any less valid. Are you suggesting that those scientists and doctors with opposing views are just making it up for whatever reason?

And in terms of the review, there should of course be an investigation into whether lockdown was warranted, proportionate to the threat or where it even works, but as they've not bothered to think about that throughout it's doubtful they'll think about it after.

For a professed left winger you constantly sound more and more like a trumper.
Your dismissing the lancet because it’s ‘mainstream’. Take a step back and think about what on earth you’re trying to claim here. The lancet is literally the oldest and most respected medical journal in the world. Being the most respected doesn’t make it biased mainstream media, it makes it trusted. This idea that they ‘won’t go against the government’ it just mind boggling ridiculous.
And yes, some sources are more valid than others. Interesting you went with the media outlets that right wingers love to criticise by the way, considering you’re totally not.

I've been a Guardian reader since I was at university but they've been pathetic through all this, very much a reflection of the patheticness of the UK in general. Just because the Lancet is old and respected doesn't make it right. I've thought about this long and hard, I'm not some right wing thug off Facebook...hopefully you can tell I have a brain. I've never been a conspiracy theorist, 9/11, the moon landings all genuine. Again, you keep painting me as a conspiracy theorist because you don't agree with my views.

As I've said before, this is nothing to do with politics, left or right. You can't assign lockdown scepticism with the right wing, it crosses all divides. Both the left and right have been utterly pathetic in this. I'm most disappointed in Labour, having been a supporter in the last 3 elections, Starmer has turned them into a snivelling arm of the government. The only MPs with any backbone to say enough are people like Desmond Swain and I can't stand the Tories.

Can you not see the psychological damage this has done to people that will never be reversed? People holding tissues in front of their mouth, falling into roads as I walk past. Can you not see the stupidity of it all? That's what gets me, people have just drifted along and nodded along like they've been hypnotised. I'll never ever understand it and I'll be forever angry at people for being supine to this once the real stories come out.

I wasn’t saying it’s always right (though it does make up part of the scientific consensus). You brought it up and criticised it for being ‘mainstream’ and doing what the government wants it to. All I’m saying, for a non conspiracy theorist, you use a lot of the same language and arguments.
And no I can’t see the stupidity of following the scientific advice to protect themselves and others. What you’re suggesting is that people should ignore the laws and guidance, which is something you’ve previously denied suggesting.
As for predictions, Toby Jones, who runs your blog, predicted that there wouldn’t be a second wave.

No, people should abide by the laws of the land but there is no crime (yet) in free speech. What you're actually supporting is more deaths, more destruction and a terrible future for generations but as long as you and yours are ok, that's fine.

And on the subject of false predictions, your heroes in Whitty, vallance, Ferguson have made several incorrect predictions but they never seem to get pulled up on it.

Because they don't want to brush past a stranger in the midst of an international pandemic of an infectious respiratory illness that transmits through the air and has killed at least one member of this very forum. They don't want to be asymptomatic carriers who readily pass it onto others, including the vulnerable they are a support bubble carer for. Hope that helps.

p.s. since you love going on about the 50s Flu pandemic amongst others to compare infection control measures. Were they sheep too?
