The time for an effective lockdown has long passed and was a missed opportunity...... we have been playing catch up since January and never been ahead of the virus at any stage.... we are still getting stuck with knee-jerk reactions and confusion. All the messages are confused garbled nonsense that don't make sense even to the people making them..... it's all gibberish and bluster.

Promises of hundreds of thousands of tests per day and results within 24 hours....... except they can't process that many and most aren't done in 24 hours.

State of the art track and trace..... they couldn't find their ass in a bath.

Rule of 6..... unless it's more..... or less.

Pubs shut at 10pm...... not all pubs..... just the ones the MPs don't use.

Its an absolute cluster **** and it's Joe public getting ****** by the cluster.

Incompetence isn't confined by boarders in sorry to say.

People are going to suffer in a pandemic, the trick is not to drag it out and compound the suffering with confusion, uncertainty and stupidity.

Surprise Surprise, no comment from Crewe yet again on another news focused story concerning them. Barry Bennell last week,  Coronvirus this week and for the second time,  a postponement of their fixture with Oxford.  Bumbling Bowler hiding away from the press. Imagine Carol in similar circumstances. She'd be upfront,  confronting the issue, not hiding in shame waiting for someone to construct a media friendly reply.

These people are corrupt, untrustworthy and shameless.

Take one example. The government say that circa. 42,000 deaths have occurred of Covid, but only as long as we count them within 28 days of a positive test. This is clearly ridiculous as very many do not pass away with 4 weeks and can spend months in IC or elsewhere before they die. If we note the numbers who have died with Covid mentioned on their death certificates the figure rises to nearly 59,000. Hiding information from the public is one of the the things they do best. World beating at it, in fact!

There is also Long Covid with non-deadly effects which people will suffer from for unknown periods, mainly younger people.

It's hard to see how we are going to reduce infections and get through Winter unless and until we have a reliable and effective T&T system in place. It's not a silver bullet but would help us immensely.

This week's contact tracing figures have deteriorated from 68% to 62% when we need at least 80% to begin to make a success of it. Why are these figures getting worse and not improving? People's lives are at risk.

You keep hoping that tomorrow will bring us good news and show us to be good at something but it just aint happening.

I'll be amazed if that clown Johnson is still in charge of this circus in the New Year.

Some entitled student interviewed on the radio stated that it was what students do, socialise, and so that was her excuse for a massive gathering in Liverpool last night, nothing to do with the government of the day, nothing to do with Track and Trace, just plain selfishness, to the back drop of numbers increasing in Liverpools ICU's they should go and see someone in ICU suffering from Covid and maybe they would change their minds, it's not very nice.

Selfish bar stewards.

It’s time the police did a property search on Hancock to see if they can find his brain.

What Tory politician with any sense would want to overthrow Boris in the middle of a pandemic? Any new Prime Minister would face the same criticism of either not doing enough to save the economy or not doing enough to save lives. This winter will see many deaths and many ruined businesses/families regardless of what the government do now.

I'm sure there will be plotting going on behind closed doors and when the vaccine is in sight, or at least the prospect of a breather in summer, then the knives will come out.
