Jenrick wasn’t in London when he made the trip to his parents as I remember, he was at his family home near Hereford, he travelled to his parents in Shrewsbury which isn’t too far to deliver medical supplies.

Didnt do anything wrong.

Cummings did wrong but he is not the only one yet you don’t recognise that so I can only form the opinion it is based on political bias

Travelling to your second home, which Kenrick did, was contrary to the guidelines.

It was his family home where his family were already at.

Family home?  So why do his kids go to school in London?  He has a house in Pimilico, a house in his constituency in Newark, and a house in Herefordshire which he rarely goes to.  His family home is in London, he was in London after the lockdown guidance was imposed.  His wife and kids should not have left London and neither should he.  Three houses, the one in London reportedly worth £2.5 million.  I suggest he may be part of the elite that Cummings and his ilk told us we should chuck under a bus.

Blimey, a closet champagne socialist, he will fit right in with the Islington set if/when he leaves his current position.

I find it rather odd that figures for tests carried out are not published.

The test records published every day include test kits sent to test sites and posted to individuals but not the number of tests completed.

We are informed that over 100,000 tests per day has been achieved but figures for tests completed are unavailable.

We are told the capacity for testing now stands at 200,000.

Does this mean that 200,000 tests per day can be completed?

Or does it mean that someone has ordered larger boxes to dispatch more of the test kits to sites.

If we can complete 200,000 tests per day...... why aren't we doing it?

It's also rather odd that the information given in the "BE ALERT" campaign is being ignored.

We were told that restrictions would not be lifted until we reached level 3 of the new virus/threat warning system. We sit at level 4 (restrictions stay in place)

The explanation given is that we are transitioning, which could take days, weeks or even months,

Is it possible the financial burden is increasing to an unbearable level and it's an attempt to restart the economy? Or perhaps the natives are becoming restless?

The "be alert" message was supposed to be clear and decisive.

Another oddity ...

Children can go to school but politicians seemingly won't go to parliament.

Many parents rely on schools and relatives for childcare so they can go to work and many relatives cannot look after children as they are from a different household or shielding themselves as vulnerable older adults. Many schools are currently open to provide childcare for the children of NHS workers. Government advise is for people to work from home if they are able to do so. MPs are able to work from home in order to ask each other questions and debate. Many members of Parliament are in a higher risk category whilst children are much less likely than adults to catch, spread or suffer any ill effects of coronavirus.

That's from off the top of my head, I'm sure there are a multitude of other reasons.

Oh yeah, MPs live all across the country and have to commute in to London whereas children generally live near the school. There's another reason.

So much for the governments staged plan. I thought they weren't going to let shielded people out until stage one.

They are not being forced to go out. Some,on here, including myself, won’t be going anywhere except the garden.I will now have visitors who will keep to social distancing rules but the total amount of people in my garden won’t exceed 4( my rule).Extensive scientific trials, reported by a UK scientist yesterday, have concluded that it safer Outside than Inside.Things are changing all the time with what is a Novel Virus.Hope that helps.I have 2 acres of garden so could probably accommodate a couple of hundred people but my rule is 4 people.

God moves in mysterious ways, geo.

It's another smokescreen isn't it, to bamboozle us with a whole host of large numbers so that the important statistics are forgotten and/or missed.

No comparative death data has been shown for weeks. It disappeared once it was clear that the UK's number was spiralling out of control and among the worst in the world.

Testing has been another one that they've tried to hide. It is going up (good) but the system has been shambolic. Capacity is meaningless but they tell us that figure every day because it's a big number! But it's completely useless.

The number of tests conducted is their next conjuring trick. Not the number actually tested but the number of tests either done or sent in the post or given to a courier.

Trick number three is to count one test as two tests - one swab for the mouth and one for the nose. Are you keeping up?

Tests sent out that are dud are counted. Tests that are not returned are counted. Samples that expire because they haven't been sent back in time are counted.

Tommy Cooper at his best.

Is it too much to ask for transparency and honesty?

But they are being told they can go out now. No they are not forced, but they may wrongly think it's safer out there considering it was meant to be in stage 1 when this measure was eased. The science suggests we shouldn't be easing it as much as we are.

Some politicians are in parliment though arent they and have been for some time.  Some kids are starting back to school today.

Why is it odd?

Because the palace of Westminster has it's own child care facilities.

I would expect our "leaders" to lead by example.
