Some good suggestions there Geoff, but the first line is incorrect.

the club weren’t looking for supporters ideas, it was the supporters who put the idea to the club.

The ethos of the Shanahans' management of the club is for everyone to be involved, a family. As such, they don't need to ask for ideas but will certainly welcome them.

Are you suggesting that the directors don't instruct their staff to investigate such opportunities ? They're not thick ,now if it was Scumthwaite then I would understand.

I suppose walking around the track with a well worn blanket and inviting people to throw money in is out of the question. lol

In days gone by that was totally acceptable .... But can you imagine the self centred Elf and Shitey society screaming at the Sentinel and Radio Stoke - "Port Vale Suggesting coins are thrown at a moving target on a match day !"  What if the blanket carriers are hurt - who hold the necessary insurance. What about the old Bill ? It was ok when the world was a reasonable place but the arses of the world would frown on it now.

You don't mind being hit on the head or face by a £1 or £2 coin?

Health and Safety stopped 11 year olds working 12 shifts picking dust out of moving machinery. Thought you’d  know that at your age?
