They hate City, and the Prem. Sure City are financial dopers but look at PSG if you want real financial doping. And they are the true fake financially doped  middle eastern owned franchise. UEFA stinks, champions league stinks, prem stinks.

Kind of like supporting a real team, with real fans and local owners. Even if we are in L2. UTV.  Real football for real people.

English clubs looking like they might dominate, like they did when English clubs got banned because of crowd violence. UEFA cannot have that, bad for the game. Thank God we don’t have the same sort of racism from the crowds as the Balkan and Italian clubs do else the English clubs would get banned for that.

As I understand it, you are allowed to accumulate millions of pounds worth of debt, as long as your income covers the repayment, bit like a loan. In city's case they've used personal wealth, and haven't put the club in debt, so they've been punished!! Beggars belief really.

Yeah the Glazers can buy Manchester United using United's own money and put the club half a billion in debt and that's perfectly fine. But City's owners can't give their club money because that's against FFP. It's all garbage

The ManC case is based on mis-representing sponsorship income which is classed as revenue which is related to player wage limits.

I am torn on this one. UEFA lacks regulatory credibility and integrity; lets see what happens when appeal system has been completed. However, irrespective of that, Financial Fair Play rules, as presently constituted, have not prevented Bolton and Bury. Whilst failing in those cases they are now punishing a club with a very solvent financial position whilst not having prevented the buying of Man Utd by bringing huge debt on to the balance sheet. So they are ineffective and misdirected.

Keep them in Europe but massive fine to be distributed among the poorer League sides.

In June 2018 AC Milan were similarly banned from Europe for 2 seasons.

A month later, the ban was lifted by the Court of Arbitration in Sport following an appeal by the Italians. Their defence was basically that yes, they had broke the FPP rules, but so had Citeh & PSG who’s misdemeanours had gone unpunished. CAS agreed.

Then last summer the AC Milan case was highlighted again and the Rossinieri agreed some deal with UEFA which saw them banned  from Europe for one year only and they consequently have sat out this years Europa League.

So, I wonder if Milan have pushed UEFA for a tit for tat treatment of Citeh ?

Either way, expect a Citeh appeal and a lifting of the ban as all of Europe’s biggest season sides start throwing s**t at each other with increasing speed and regularity.

  • 4 months later...

Shock Horror ! Citeh’s Champions League ban lifted following their successful appeal to the Court of Arbitration in sport.

The no doubt countless relevant officials and lawyers at UEFA are up to third in the worlds most useless list, now only trailing the Pope’s balls and a nun’s fanny.

FFP, along with that other roaring success VAR, should now be consigned to the bin where their limited attributes would be more appropriate.

Complete shambles.
