To be fair Clark's was a red every day of the week. Flies in off the ground 80 yards from his goal. Proper inexperienced stuff.

Pope's was daft but you run that risk whenver you put your head in like that; its childish but you see players booked for leaning in with their head every week. Stupid of him when on a booking. I don't think it should be a booking but refs always book players for going head to head, and Pope literally walks back off to bend down and go forehead to forehead. A shame after the great game he'd had.

Our penalty was a penalty and their penalty was probably 50/50, will have to watch it back.

So whilst Kettle got loads of little decision wrong, the 'big 4' were probably correct in my eyes, with a toss up for the penalty.

Well done to the lads for an excellent attacking display for 70 minutes, and for just hanging on at the end.

We're right in the mix. A win on Saturday (Atkinson and Monty isn't a disastrous fullback pairing) and its on.

Plus arguably the best striker...?

I don’t blame the ref for that.  Stupid foul when their player was always looking to go over for a free kick.

Ridiculous reaction from a Pope, knowing he was already on a booking and with picky referee.

yet again let’s the club down after his earlier positive contribution

A great performance. First half was outstanding but Trevor Kettle as a ref needs banning. Neither Pope or Clarke’s reds were really reds. Legge getting a yellow for minor dissent was ridiculous. Just silly.

You could argue they should know better as players with Kettle’s reputation but even so, he seems to referee by his own standards than those set by the league.

Still great win!

Agree with that.  Neither Pope nor Clarke can have any real complaints.
