I don't disagree with Carol, I've never seen a Vale player improve his performance from being booed and shouted at, although the away team sometimes manage it! 

Serouisly though I understand what she is trying to say but I personally think she needs to take back seat and concentrate on all the many good things I'm sure they want to do in the background. Leave the manager to deal with players problems. Its what he gets paid for.

Carol can't keep biting back every time a minority of fans go over the top about a poor performance or result. We are currently in 10th place imagine how bad it would be if we where towards the bottom?? 

The Shanahan's have a sustainable plan for the club, the manager has a plan for the team and they need to just keep going, see it through and ignore the white noise.

I suspect your right, but I don’t know why or where Carol is coming from with that comment. I sit in the Railway Paddock and I’ve not heard any player booed, just a few profanities through frustration, but no player is targeted. So perhaps it’s coming from the Lorne Street, as I can’t hear them and they sit below the directors box. It must be going on or Carol wouldn’t say it and it should stop RIGHT NOW.

However RW should pay up. It is his gig and I’m sure he has spent more in strip clubs down the years. The gig has put unwanted pressure on getting a stand finished which was demanded by the gig, not by the club or fans. 
 

Charity causes are great but if it costs the club an extra 100k, then it is us being exploited.

I certainly think it is worth having a go. I’d happily donate to see that stand finally finished.

With regards to what Carol has said, fans have every right to discuss players performances if they aren't up to standard, if we all loved every player and every performance then a website like this would be pointless. It's all about debate and discussion.

However, if that then graduates to going on to twitter and seeking players out directly to abuse them, or booing/clapping subs like we have seen at game involving Ryan Lloyd, then that's is beyond the pale. We forget that these lads are human and have feelings.

I'm in for a donation. My favourite player is Smithy. Closely followed by Amoo and Monty. And Gibbo, and Big Leon, and Browny and... likeable bunch really.

Fans seem to love Monty these days, he's one of the few players with his own chant (though it rarely gets going as no one knows the words).

I suspect she is just setting out club policy on certain aspects and will leave it at that
