So with Askey preferring just a lone striker , it should be a front 3 but we play more 451

Who does everyone think should be first choice in that role ?

 

Bennett , pope and Cullen all going for 1 spot 3 into 1 doesn’t go so who do people think should be the main man ?????

Cullen for me. He needs a run of games. When Pope starts we get too drawn into playing hoofball. Bennett's very much a squad player.

Pope is the best of the 3 but we do tend to play the punt ball which we shouldn’t.

They are all different.  Pope has the aggression and decent first touch.  Bennett has more pace but can trap the ball further than I can kick it.  Cullen has a good brain but is lacking physically.  So the answer is, none of them!

Totally depends on who the opposition is,  but Pope should always be 60-70 minute sub, if required  Today his introduction  changed very little apart from he wasn't castigated for losing the ball or not winning his headers in the same way that Bennett was.

Cullen did well physically against Orient, but got bullied at Swindon, maybe needs a run of games.

I think this position is priority next season and I wonder with pope and Bennett both under contract next season if cullen’s days maybe numbered at the end of the season

Kurtis Guthrie would of been an ideal solution but Bradford have taken him so it’s onto a new target

I’m wondering if pope will stick it out next season or move on as he likes to play and doesn’t like being on the bench

I noticed that... I love popey, but it was shocking how everyone who lambasted Bennett at every chance sat there quietly as Pope didn’t do any better.

I’m a fan of Cullen, he’s the sort of intelligent forward player Rudgie used to like but we haven’t found a way for him to fit into the system.

I think there are a lot of strikers from the old days who would struggle in the modern game now that playing two forwards has gone out of fashion.

If you play one up front he needs to score you 20 goals. Dont think either of our current 3  will do that  so that's the priority for next season. As was mentioned above Cullen will probably be the one who loses out.
