If we can do it on New Years Eve I think we should be allowed to celebrate our Independence Day?🇬🇧 👍🍺 👍

I thought we were effectively still in it until the end of the year??

I heard practising Catholic Anne Widdicombe being hateful on the radio this morning. It’s true, God loves a good atheist more than a bad Christian!

People who had voted remain.

Oh my word..... not those nice remainers who called leave voters thick, stupid racists....... shocking..... or was it about those nice left wing student types who left their safe spaces to cry about losing the futures they might have .... if someone was stupid enough to think a PhD in lesbian dance theory would secure a high salary and perks in a capitalist society... oh dear.... what is the world coming to.

Nothing wrong with signing up for a decent trade deal.

Labour during that general election campaigned to leave the European trading block and got heavily beaten when Maggie Thatcher won a landslide--even back then, Labour was on the wrong side of the argument!  Will they ever learn?  Clearly not , judging by their leadership campaign so far!!!

I find the people in Parliament Square/releasing fireworks equally out of the real world.

Popping champagne over withdrawl of a POLITICAL UNION?

The extremists of both sides are a bit strange. I won't comment on your 'match report' post.

Sure I cant tempt you in for a comment on my match report joke?

I blew £100 worth of rockets up last night at 11pm and loved it

Lets just have a go on our own and see how it goes

We wont have to beg to taken back. The EU would jump at the chance of controlling us again.

The trouble with people, probably 48% of them, is your that used to being told what to think, you've lost your balls

I've had enough of being treasure island for them

Right. I'm off down the pub to carry on celebrating....and i'll drink some Stella just to show there's no hard feelings

nothing in losing it,its just hard luck, the humiliating thing is not accepting the result...

There's a difference between not accepting the result and not agreeing with the result.  I accepted it would happen but that doesn't make me think it's the right thing to do.  The Brexiteers have been fighting against our place in Europe since we joined in 1973 starting with Tony Benn and his mates.  Bill Cash has spent his entire career in Parliament being against our place in Europe.  Farage has spent over 20 years as a member of an organisation he didn't want to be a member of but still taking all his salary and expenses.  Why is it OK for people like them to fight against our place in Europe, which at no point was imposed by anyone other than our Parliament, yet it is humuliating for people who voted to remain to say they heartedly disagree with the decision?

All I know is that this entire affair was case in point why you can't mix and match representative democracies with single issue referendum.

Eventually you expose a disconnect and it leads to the shambles/conflict/division we've seen for the past few years.

Not saying the vote was wrong, just that the manner of sorting it (referendum to decide, representative democracies to sort it) was just a constitutional nightmare and it feels as if its exposed a rift previously hidden in previous years.
