Show your working. Or is that Clinton claim something else you’ve made up ‘off the bat’.

Haha wow, I thought you were arguing with me because you didn't think democrats had believed in the conspiracy theory, not because you STILL believe in it.

I don't blame you for not knowing it was all a democrat attempt to frame Trump to steal an election. The media is largely ignoring it now after spending years bleating on about it being real.

It's all public now but not really reported on.

The steel dossier, cooked up by a former British spy whilst working for Clinton/Democrats, has been investigated by the FBI and special counsel in the Mueller report. Almost all of it has either been discredited or no supporting evidence found.

The lies were propagated by Obama's team which helped to justify the phone tapping of Trump's inner circle in the run up to the 2016 election.

They knew it was <ovf censored> almost immediately but didn't release their findings for years

It really is an unbelievably huge scandal, yet it is still being covered up and many still believe it was based in truth, without a single scrap of evidence.

A mainstream political party in Government conspired with the security services to frame a presidential candidate for treason in the run up to an election.

My point is the fear of being overwhelmed by immigrants is not based in reality.

You should listen to the people in the UK who have moved away from London, Birmingham, other large cities and to the comments from villagers in Linton-on-Ouse rather than some academic who likely hasn't got any sense of reality but most likely has an open border agenda.

feel free to backup your climate change claims over on the other thread.

I've made my point about climate change above, if you wish to challenge it than feel free to do so.

I just spent 10 minutes reading up on the great replacement theory. The guy who came up with it makes for some fascinating reading. He spent an awful long time as a member of the Socialist party in France for a far right white supremacist.

I don't know anyone that's moved away from a large city in the UK due to immigration,  have you got a link to something?

Isn't the villagers in Linton-on-Ouse NIMBYism? Are they complaining about refugees being housed near to them rather than refugees being housed at all?

The New York Post is your Newspaper Of Record? Larf.

Maybe we should take this somewhere else. It's not very Brexity.

Considering most of the others are deadly silent on what is possibly the greatest political scandal of all time having actually played an active part in pushing the conspiracytheory originally...Which one would you recommend?

I do love when I post a load of constructive and sourced points and someone just replies with "lol xyz source? jk m8"

We can discuss it anywhere you want, but you'll need to come back with some constructive points to the above rather than just conveniently dismissing the source to avoid having to have to admit you woefully ill informed on the subject.

Like I say, it's not your fault, you are being lied too by omission in the echo chambers you reside in. Not many are reporting this but it's public record thanks to court transcripts, FBI admissions and the Mueller report.

The only part which is up for debate is the extent to which Clinton/Democrats ordered this. We know their money paid for it, but did the 3rd party go rogue or not?

Kindly discuss the US in the US thread, you have wandered off topic.

I don't get what's wrong with being woke, either. Maybe give me some examples.

Being woke is an awful and hideous way of looking at the world and it's people. It sees people as either an oppressor or as oppressed, it sees racism in everything, in history it doesn't see some racism but sees all history as racist hence the reaction to delete it, in countries and organizations it doesn't see elements of racism but the whole country and organization are racist, it sees everything through the color of someone's skin, it sees white males as toxic.

It seeks to cancel people who are not woke.

Being woke is being virtuous often without any reference to the facts or common sense,  wokeism causes division not healing and tears communities apart.

In other words history should be how we would like it to be, not how it was.

OED says it means "alert to injustice in society, especially racism." That sounds alright to me.

I think you might be attacking something that's not there.

Brexit: Still rubbish.

image.thumb.png.cdad84267fb89749a07b155ac2a9bbc9.png

But don't worry. It was all worth it for these top 9 changes Rees-Mogg has come up with after consulting Brexiteers.

  1. Encourage fracking, shortcut rules on planning consultation via emergency act.
  2. Abolish the EU regulations that restrict vacuum cleaner power to 1400 watts.
  3. Remove precautionary principle restrictions (for instance) on early use of experimental treatments for seriously ill patients and GM crops.
  4. Abolish rules around the size of vans that need an operator's licence.
  5. Abolish EU limits on electrical power levels of electrically assisted pedal cycles.
  6. Allow certain medical professionals, such as pharmacists and paramedics, to qualify in three years.
  7. Remove requirements for agency workers to have all the attributes of a permanent employee.
  8. Simplify the calculation of holiday pay (eg 12.07 percent of pay) to make it easier for businesses to operate.
  9. Reduce requirements for businesses to conduct fixed wire testing and portable application testing.

It's scary if the security services were involved.

This list is what ait was all about for the right wing, cut safety standards and employment rights. They will be ok, it is the rest of us that will pay for this mess.

But what does it mean in reality, what are the consequences?   So is all of western history an injustice?, the UK is a racist country etc.

Being woke is being virtuous often without any reference to the facts or common sense, perfect example.

Not attacking anything just giving my opinion.

Updated figures show that 75% of asylum claims made to the UK authorities in the last 12 months have been successful. So whilst the Government increasingly tries to discourage people arriving they are actually granting asylum to a higher proportion which seems a little odd.

Only 2% of migrants crossing the Chanel and entering the UK have a passport so on what basis are they granted asylum.

Controlled not uncontrolled immigration is the way forward.

It means being alert to injustices in society.

If you think there are no injustices in society, then you should show that. You should show that it's not true that black men find it more difficult to hail a taxi., or that candidates with muslim sounding names are three times more likely to be rejected.

It's not saying that UK is a racist country per se. More that a lot of our institutions have a built in bias, and the least we can do is acknowledge that.

There was a great discussion between James Baldwin and Paul Weiss on The Dick Cavett show. Now, a lot of the examples Baldwin gives near the end of this clip (about 11 minutes in) are specific to The USA at that time, but the general point he makes still (unfortunately) stands.
