A lot less than the £400 million a week it would now cost us to be a member. Sure you can do the maths and work out that if that is your argument we are better out.

Full breakdown of the figures in the article, horse.

The Government gave billions to help tackle the Covid pandemic so you are wrong on that aspect.

And a fair chunk of it was given to their mates for dodgy PPE which ended up in the bin.

Fair enough, I didn’t read the full article first time but as I said, it is very difficult to judge at this early stage as trade has been hit massively by Covid plus it was always going to take time to adjust. Exports to the EU are most likely to decrease and other trade avenues will increase, we will also decrease out imports from the EU as we buy cheaper elsewhere or produce more of our own products.

How many million?

Don’t know, totally inexcusable I agree but still a very small percentage of the billions extra the NHS have been given.

And what do you base that on. You really are the Brexit bugle

Eh? The PPE bought ran in to millions, the NHS extra funds ran in to Billions. You’re clutching at straws now.

How's it all going with the protocol? Seems like get brexit done was another lie from the tories back in 2019. This is what got them in government in the first place. Is brexit done?

Who else would sign a contract they negotiated and think the other side would not enforce it? Boris has made us an international laughing stock.

As a "Remainer"  based on the simple concept of "Don't take chances with the economy" than surely one indicator that Brexit so far hasn't been a positive is the continued poor performance of the GB Pound vs the US Dollar, the Euro, the Jap. Yen and Chinese Yuan.

After almost 6 years the GBP still languishes at almost all time lows against the US Dollar and other major currencies  and given the exchange rate of a country's currency is reflective of the state/health of it's economy then it's hard to see the hard positives of Brexit, particular as regards the economy.

The EU should be more concerned with whether their contract is enforceable. They admitted to manufacturing the Irish border as a barrier to brexit. They risked peace on the island of Ireland to wrangle political capital. The agreement in place arguably breaches the good friday agreement on the part of the EU/ROI.

The protocol was a terrible idea and we never should have agreed to it. But the EU insisted on it and it has turned out to be a terrible idea and shock horror, a way for them to undermine our sovereignty still.

I don't think this is the remain win you think it is.
