They won’t need the GVMS to return with empty lorries. You need to make your mind up!

Does not make Brexit the right thing to do. Based on lies, thus the voters were ill advised and thus made the wrong decision. Based on Priti tonight leaving the EU was an excuse for leaving humanity as well as economics behind.

Yes it absolutely does.

Remain was based on lies, that is why they lost. Brexit = Democracy. If you want to shut down democracy at least own it.

Remain is still lying now. 7 years later. As I've said, it's the only way remain makes sense now.

It's what they do phil,it's all part of their playbook. If they want to moan about lorries in Dover and be part of a union that is funding Putin with €1 billion a day,let them get on with it.

It's breathtakingly silly isn't it? How anyone with any self awareness can vociferously moan about traffic jams whilst at the same time disowning all their other lies because they can't argue them anymore.

If they based their arguments in reality then they may have had a different outcome in 2016. Seeing them quadruple down now is really just mild entertainment.

No.  They do NOT have to negotiate.  This is the bit that YOU don't get.

The EU is a legal framework to trade together.  WE left it (because of people like you!) THEY will now try to buy what WE used to sell to them; what they can't buy internally they will look outside of the EU - first they will go to "Trusted Partners" why they have an existing agreement; if they can't find it from there they will then look to Third Countries including us.

THAT was explained BEFORE the referendum.  People like you knew this would happen.

because of legends like me*

Your post is very confused. You seem to ignore the fact that we can go and trade with everyone else, and in fact we have more freedom to negotiate trade deals with "Trusted partners" which benefits the UK and we don't have to accept terms which don't benefit us.

That was also explanied to you before the referendum. People like you knew this would happen but you have to pretend it doesn't. That's my issue. The lies.

Jesus Christ man.  Yiu don't seem to realise that the EU are our next door neighbours and it's easier and cheaper to ship to them. Further, in the past, we have <ovf censored> over the vast majority of the other countries around the world that YOU and Truss think we can trade with; we've invaded their countries and tapped and pillaged our way through their lives.

In addition the "Trade Deals" that Truss thinks she's making our nowhere near as good as the ones we had via the EU.

So, since we left the EU it is a fact that our exports have dropped, that it's got more expensive and that the paperwork has gone nuts - and that that paperwork to export has been mainly bought in by this government.

How stupid is that.

Exports to the EU valued £223 billion 5 years ago

exports to the EU in 2020 was £251 billion

COMMONSLIBRARY.PARLIAMENT.UK

And we ain’t paying over £350 million a week for the privilege of trading with the EU.

How sensible is that?

1. Trucks returning empty rarely happens.

2. If even if a percentage of them are empty, it doesn't help much when you're stuck at the wrong end of a 30 mile queue.

Your first figure is from 2015 - the worst year for UK exports for about a decade - nice choice.

Here's a quote from your second link.

"UK-EU trade fell sharply between Q4 2020 and Q1 2021, following the end of the Brexit transition period and the additional disruptions this caused to UKEU trade. UK exports to the EU fell by 18% between Q4 2020 and Q1 2021, with imports from the EU falling by 25% over the same period. This fall is more pronounced when looking at monthly data - the value of UK goods exported to the EU fell by 45% between December 2020 and January 2021, while the value of goods imported from the EU fell 34%. Trade with the EU represented 42% of the UK’s total trade in goods (i.e., the combined value of exports and imports) in January 2021, the EU’s lowest monthly share of UK trade since comparable records began in"

Like the principles of the EU?

Compared to Johnson’s principles, let’s grab, let’s kid the electorate, no sleaze to small, let’s not tell the truth, stuff the country and the pandemic let’s have some booze ups.  Think the EU is not too bad.
