So Boris is raising the NI payments, then switching it to a new tax (which could be raised separately at a later date) he could then technically claim to be reducing NI when it separates as a new tax........ and suspending the triple lock on pensions.

He isn't doing much to keep the red wall voters or keep his own voters.

It's an absolute gift to the opposition.

The only thing I've read from the opposition so far is 'you broke your promise'...... (he's a politician, what do you expect)...... and 'it's a sticking plaster'...... (which is dangerous because it begs the questions how much would you spend and how much you would raise NI? Neither of which the opposition should want to answer until an election...... and had some time to consider the answers)

Having turned into socialists during the pandemic, the Tories are now becoming Lib Dems.  Hypothecating a tax to the NHS was in their manifesto in 2017.

Politicians being what they are very rarely come up with a new idea. It's usually been kicking around for a while until they change a few words and add a few of their own so they can claim it's the next big thing.

It's like getting a pencil into a Smarties tube....... a politician will try to get it in sideways and keep chopping lumps off it until it fits..... anyone with a brain however would simply turn the pencil longways.

When Blair took over he implimented many Tory policies and claimed them as his own.

Political parties haven't realised that when they get into power it's like taking command of the titanic  and the public are the iceburg.... you can move forward if it's behind you but it won't move out of your way simply because you want it to.

You lot in here make me look happy.

We need a right wing government if we want to get ourselves sorted out. Until then don't get your hopes up.

Can u imagine how these lot would react to a right wing leader 😂

it’s racist now to post videos of illegal immigrants scarpering on our coastline after jumping of boats I dread to think what it would end up like if that happened

This is the most crony corrupt government we have ever had. Some of them make Thatcher look left wing. This government are responsible for brexit-a very right wing idea. They're so far on the right now that 5000 members of Britain First joined the Conservative party when Boris cancelled the investigation into Islamaphobia in the party- another lie of his.

Thought brexit would stop that we can control our borders cant we?

Instead as a result of brexit these big reckless private water companies are being told to tip more sewage into our water systems. As if they are not sufficated with enough sewage. Did you vote for that?
