If you're in the EU you'll always be waiting in a queue.A long one behind Germany and France.

Or let Blunder lead and go on a  tropical holiday and ignore Cobra meetings. All he does is jump in front when someone else has decided where to go.

So if it was so easy to break ranks and arrange your own vaccination programme why was it only Hungary that acted? Probably because the EU forbid any member country making an agreement with any of the 6 EU recognised and approved vaccine companies, Pfizer, AZ, J&J, etc. Hungary bought the Russian Sputnik vaccine that was not approved by the EU then, and still isn't.

Not forgetting of course that even when they approved a vaccine such as AZ, they then changed their minds, then they wanted more, then they restricted its use and then took legal action to try to get more supplies even though millions of doses had to be destroyed as it was passed its use by date.

Farcical, just farcical.

Who knows why others didn't act? I don't and you certainly don't. All we know is you could break rank as you put it therefore our vaccination effort was not down to brexit at all. It may be farcical but if we try and deal in facts and things known then it becomes clearer. The EU didn't stop anyone going on there own as proven by Hungary. So not a win for brexit this one I am afraid whatever farage tells you.

They are sovereign nations and decide on medical matters individually,  the vaccines were given emergency approval, and testing is still going on. It is up to individual countries on which age ranges etc they apply to. Just because Germany and France for example make different decisions is not a failing of the EU.  How much the UK tax payer paid  to grab the bulk of early vaccines and the associated contract terms we will probably never know, but we could have done that from within the EU.

The EU was always a step behind the UK and the US and its approach to regulatory approval left its citizens lagging behind. The problem as usual was bureaucracy,so before it could place a vaccine order the Commission had to wait for each country to sign the contract.Once they've signed up to the EMA EU countries couldn't unilaterally authorise vaccines purchased by the EU and smaller, poorer countries didn't have the regulatory expertise or the money to go it alone.

Here's Boris having a good old jolly laugh at the expense of working class losing their jobs. These idiots are so out of touch. And they want you to believe they are levelling up. These conmen do not care about working class areas and are in it for themselves and their rich mates

Out of touch, the Iron Lady was always one step ahead and could obviously see the future for fossil fuels.

It’s no wonder he laughs about it , while thousands of miners were fighting for their jobs he was drinking expensive champagne with his chums from Oxford

Does this mean the Tories were way ahead in acknowledging climate change and Labour ignored it?
