Match Thread: Port Vale v Salford City

Carry on with the magic, maybe wave the wand in the first half?  The Exeter wonder show means the team picks itself, and feed well with confidence before KO. extra  boosts again for Amoo and Bennett.  Match fitness gains for Brisley and Conlon to show their worth, and competition to players currently injured. Plenty of newcomers, and an old face, in the Salford ranks but let us make sure they leave Fortress Vale with no points.  2-0 for the Vale, good a guess as any.

Noticed they won 0-4 last night. Going to be another tough test, but based on the second half we can match anyone on our day. When the crowd got behind the team second half we started winning 50/50 balls the tempo was raised and Exeter crumbled. We need a big home crowd saturday, create an atmosphere, and send them home with nowt. Let's drag some stay away fans up to the match saturday, and terrorise the opposition. 2-1 vale..

Would like to think that there may be a much better attendance Saturday after the Lord Mayor's Show 2nd half last night.

Mid week match, in cold conditions doesn't lend itself to huge crowd, especially after the disappointment the match before.

Players need the backing of the crowd from the off. Let's show Salford we are mighty at home.

Hopefully the 2nd half team will show up on saturday full of confidence after the Exeter game.  They showed they can play cracking football with balls from our half being floated over just in front of the wingers and them running and passing the defenders with ease, then they put in nice balls to the box for the strikers to attack.

Any team can beat any team in this league this season so I expect another hard game.

Are they well supported you would think they will bring over a thousand as it’s only down the road .

They took 78 to Cambridge last night and on  a balmy Saturday in September they took 498 down the road to Crewe.  They had just over 300 home fans there for the Micky Mouse cup game against us.  Their support is pants.

Only sold 3,000ish for their biggest ever game when they got promoted at Wembley too. Rest of tickets sold were made up by Fylde & complimentary ones.

You can buy the team, but you can't buy the support.

You can't but if you are winning 0-4 away from home with a support of just 78 are you bothered?

There biggest home league attendance was against us!

No doubt, if we fail to win then Askey will be a clown, the Shanahans have duped us by not spending the Man City cash and we all may as well kill ourselves.

Don't forget that it will also be Ryan Lloyd's fault, for Ernie

78 looks positively huge compared to Stevenage, they took 21 to Grimsby last night .

With regards to the game i notice that Chris Neal has lost his place in the side which is a shame as he'd of got warm applause from me when he came to the Bycars goal.

I'm going for a win and maybe who knows we could be 9th after being 10th for donkeys.
