Ben, only six teams in League One have played five games in 13 days.  None of the other five ran themselves into the ground against the Champions of England four days before the game.  We messed up on

Bit over the top to read in to it that he doesn’t give a toss. It is football, you can go from one high to a crushing low. If the players dwelt on any defeat too much then they’d never pick themselves

JA was 100% right to rest players, he brought these squad lads in too pick up games in times like this when players are shattered. If we lose this game and beat Stevenage and Morecombe and get within

There you go.  2 down now.  No defenders again following up the ball.

JA and Co must be thinking - Carol can we have a bit of money to buy some players who can actually / willing to play for Vale.

None of the starting 11 must be worried about their places on saturday after this game.

What a massive opportunity missed. Outside our starting 11, our squad is absolutely gash. Really disappointed with the likes of Cullen, Bennett and surprisingly Archer and Browne. Get rid, they have contributed little to nothing.

Salford could take 6 of their players off and Vale would not score.  Again Vale have no idea how to change a game and they have just scored a 3rd.  Bennett gives the ball away and their players runs the line and scores.

JA you must be thinking what have I got as back up players - oh that will nothing going on this game.

Simply put you cannot expect just 3 or 4 players putting a shift in like joyce, smith and Gibbo to carry players who just have not risen to the challenge. Someone shouted next to me put Gibbo up front he’s the only one showing any passion and it hit the nail on the head because Bennett and Browne especially looked really poor tonight. Conlon and Atkinson haven’t really got hold of the ball and it’s been scrappy. Salford are a route one side. Some of the players should be ashamed of the shift they put in.
