Like we normally do against teams not playing well and loosing games before we meet them.  Yep we give them time and defenders let them score.

Are the players actually interested in this game and playing for their careers?  Yates said that most of them are looking for new contracts at the end of the season.

A lot of them just dont seem up for the game or trying much.

Hope JA and Co rip in to them and Vale come out a different team.

I was thinking the same. Most of these lads can't get near the first 11 and on this showing none of them should have any complaints. Outside of our usual starters (Brown, Smith, Gibbo, Joyce) they have been awful so far.

You can tell some of them haven’t played for a while, brisley and Conlon in particular don’t seem that sharp. Wingers haven’t offered much, im not convinced  Bennett should be on the left. It’s a scrappy game, they are just a long ball side and our midfield are struggling to get in the ball and dictate play, which is leading to a scrappy game. Not sure who lost their man for the goal, think it was either Bennett or Smith.

Awful from both sides this. Vale just look flat which is probably from playing in front of 55000 Saturday to 550 probably tonight. Need to up it as these are poor.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see legge come on for brisley to be honest. 
 

Some tight moaners around me, with regulars out and players in different positions we aren’t going to be as good because scratch the surface and the lads coming in aren’t as good.

PV1973 - JA says the squad is very good and the players are waiting to come in and try to say pick me - some of them did not get the memo or listen to his radio chat.  At least they are trying at the moment and the tempo has been lifted.  The ref and linesman seem to be favouring them at the moment.

Come on Vale, get an equaliser and you never know.
