We've had two awkward ties come out of the hat already this year, so we're in credit and ought to get a bit of luck this time in the draw.

in general we're long overdue a plum FA cup tie.

Whatever our targets/expectations are for this season, a dose of cup fever would be the icing on the cake.

We might have been unlucky with the draws so far but spare a thought for Hartlepool.  In the first round they were drawn away to Yeovil, a 608 mile round trip.  The game was called off an hour or so before kick off so the fans had to travel a second time midweek.  They got through and were then drawn away to Exeter.  They came back from 2-0 down to get a draw this afternoon.  Any fan who has done all of those trips will have travelled 1,890 miles!  If anyone deserves a home draw, the monkey hangers do!

Wouldn`t be the worst draw for us, a lovely trip to the seaside in new year!

A big club at home. That simple. We have not had a classic Vale Park one for years.

Winnable would be something like Watford at home.If we got a Liverpool or the like it is doubtful an upset would be possible.

Depressing draw would be away to a league 1 club or something like Barnsley.

Only problem with Watford would be we'd be lucky to get 8'500 crowd.

Got be a massive one at home or away.

Or someone crap with big support like Newcastle or West Ham who are beatable with all the changes they make

That’s true. Their fanbase isn’t huge. I think I’d agree. Newcastle or West Ham would bring the numbers.

When you look at the other 63 teams in the draw there are at least 50 of them who would be rubbish!  I'm not holding my breath.

I'm viewing it that there are only a handful that would be worse than an early January trip to Morecambe, which was the alternative. I've only just about thawed out from going there this time last season!

Feels a bit strange that I'm more keen on a big draw for Carol than I am for myself.

Would be a fantastic return on the faith she showed us when we were at death's door. She deserves to be welcoming the chairman of United, City, Spurs and to reap the financial benefit.
