Vale actually scored a 3rd goal which was disallowed but from iFollow I couldn't tell why and it wasn't shown on the highlights. It was mentioned by JA in his post match interview, does anyone know why the goal was disallowed.

I think a foul had been given before it went in. One of the pushy 50/50 ones.

All fair points Joe B. Amoo unfortunately has been categorized by many as the worst of all possible things "lazy". I don't think he is. I just don't think the tracking back/defending side of his game is his strong point. But, that has to be worked around. It's not what he there for. He's there for going forward. Apart from his horrible miss (but he's not the first player to miss a chance is he?) he had a decent game yesterday. On a pitch not conducive to kicking the ball and chasing after it to skin the full back.

Still provided an excellent assist for the Smith goal, and was a candidate for MOTM vs Cheltenham.

Now about RS. Generally they do a good job. But all players at some point during 90 mins make a mistake. All of them. But for some they always seems to mention it, and for some they don't. And the ones they usually mention it for are generally those a lot of people have a downer on.

Now is this chicken or egg? Do RS keep an eye out on forums for who is not flavour of the month, or are forum posters influenced by the RS commentary? Don't know.

I'll give an example from yesterday, involving Amoo. Amoo tried to play a ball back to Worrall. It was the right ball, but on the heavy pitch he didn't get enough on it. RS "That's lazy from Amoo", No it wasn't "lazy" it was a slightly under hit pass. Worrall had a hissy fit at Amoo.

About a minute later, from a good crossing position, Worrall just shanked it out for a goal kick. RS "well it was on his wrong foot". So that's alright then. There was no screaming at Worrall from Amoo, who was in the middle, either.

This is nothing against Worrall who is a good player and a fans favourite. It just seemed an example of how different players are treated when they screw up. I could go on...

Spot on. Players get labelled as certain types and are then viewed through that, biased, lens.

So we notice everything they do that confirms our bias, rather than what they actually do.

Worrall and Amoo had pretty similar games yesterday. Worrall ran a lot but it wasn't one of his better games. Amoo made mistakes.

Amoo set up the first, Worrall's corner was flicked on by Pope for the second. As attacking wingers in a front 3, that's job done for that week, they've earned their wages.

I saw a similar turn on Amoo at the Scunthorpe game by a few, then this barrage yesterday. Simply see it as pointless for a player that clearly needs confidence to excel.

But no, the group behind could only enjoy their day if they'd thoroughly belittled a Port Vale player, after paying £25 to watch and support Port Vale play. Proper weirdos.

There were 3 or 4 right at the back behind the goal constantly on his back and I bet he could hear it

braindead knobs

We seem so close to being a top 7 side but just lack that last 5%. Maybe one or two astute additions in January may bridge the gap. A left back is essential and if, and it’s a big if, we can get Manny fit and keep him fit well that will be like a new signing too. Just wanted to also give praise to Will Atkinson. Thought he was one of our best players yesterday.

A push I think. What I will say is that the whistle was blown pretty early and the goalkeeper had stopped.

Two of our last three goals have been set up by Amoo. He’s a League 2 player, not bloody Raheem Sterling - what do folk expect.?

A pedant could argue he set up all 3; I think he got a nick on the ball before Legge scrambled home.
