I see their CEO Tony Scholes was paid £850,000 for overseeing relegation - an increase of £150,000 on the previous year.   If I was Colin Garlick I’d be on the phone to Carol immediately!!

Great incentive scheme you get relegated and get paid more. Hardly surprising Scholes is doing his best to get them into League 1.

Last seasons accounts show a loss of only£15.5 m ! There wage bill was £49m, Tv revenue down from £100m to £51, this season it  will be lower perhaps about £40, and then next year about £20m, so they need to drastically cut their wage bill and with the team being crap now, I can`t see them threatening the promotion frame unless it is from league1 and that if only by some miracle they avoid ffp sanctions.

There were some rumours that Ms Coates had some arrangement with the Shanahans regarding funding to pay off our esteemed former owner. No idea if it's true or not. Something to do with her husband being a Vale fan?

Anyway, good luck to her. Employs a lot of people, pays a lot of tax, built up a successful business from scratch.

It's a private company so no shareholders to pay.  It is based in the UK and pays all its taxes in the UK.  It provides a huge amount of employment in the city, all of whom pay their taxes in the UK.  She contributes enormous amounts to charity via her foundation.  As you say, good luck to her - it's not her fault her dad is a stripey.

Yeh, we know that Carol has done that. I think Ms Coates has done something similar,  but I wouldn't want to be "misquoted "
