Team of the Decade

Have no idea if this has already been done on here, but I've seen a few posts about in on Twitter.

What would Vale's team of the 2010s be?

I am aware these activities are often frivolous as there is so much criteria; is it most talented, or biggest impact? Does the team have to be able to function like a normal team would?

However, this would be a stab from me:

Neal

Yates

McCombe

Legge

Dickinson

Myrie-Williams

Grant

O'Connor

Marshall

Pope

Richards

Honourable mentions; Brown, Alnwick, Streete, Loft, Foley, Lines, Morsy, Worrall, Hughes

In terms of talent you'd be looking at Veseli (since played in Serie A), Alex Jones, Eagles, Hugill, but none of them played enough to warrant consideration.

Defence is a tad basic but that midfield and forward is filth. Goalkeepers are all of a pretty similar excellent standard so its simply a case of personal preference; I liked Neal's presence but can understand calls for Alnwick, who is probably the most talented of the three.

That’s a great team but over the decade, Nathan Smith has to be in there. He was excellent in our League 1 relegation season despite our problems.

Dickinson I would take out. Never rated him.
