I don't get where people say about lack of spending,Taylor hasn't come cheap at all for his second loan, the contribution to Clarks wage is sizeable, contract for Atkinson and worralls extended deals wont be in the gutter cheap either plus leaving to one side offers to gibbons, smith etc . We will look better in the summer but I have confidence in how we are doing things

The Alchemy Landlord. Unless you’re going to have another emotional breakdown for our amusement live on local radio, I strongly suggest that you jog on. Irrelevant.

My thoughts exactly. Looking at the tone in the way way these words are written, I can definitely hear his voice speaking them.

If so, its borne out of pure jealousy with a sprinkling of frustration and malice for good measure.

Steady on, don’t think I can be blamed if Joe starts name calling Danish with an aggressive post. I have expressed an opinion on an open forum about the lack of transfer activity. A lot of people disagree some will agree, but it’s just opinions. I didn’t realise that i had to agree with everyone.

Aye, but you chat absolute tosh mate. Here for the wind up. Absolutely disastrous opinions, if you actually hold them.

One or two of the morons here only need to look at much bigger clubs like Manchester United are Arsenal who are desperate for signings, and between them they managed to get Ighalo, Mari and Soares. Because unless you pay crazy money it's impossible to do good business in January.

Not bringing in anyone to add to Taylor and Clarke just for the sake of having an extra body or two is sensible by Askey. We'll probably come up a bit short this season in regards to the play-offs but we'll be in an excellent position in the summer to find the extra bit of quality we need.

Chuffed that it now seems all be confirmed Woz has signed a two year deal. You saw how our form dropped without him, he is a huge player for us and that’s one less to worry about losing and having to replace. Hopefully get one or two more sorted. Surely Burgess deserves a two year deal. Keep Legge for another year. Tough one Smudge.

There has to be an argument for Smudge to stay.

Having endured 3 seasons of playing in a toxic environment, why leave when it's all coming together so well.

The future at Vale is clearly going to be good, so stick around and enjoy it.

He deserves it too for his admirable perseverance under difficult circumstances.

Look at the difference in him under improved conditions.

The alternatives may not be so appealing imo.

No wind up,  Norman  would be getting slated. We were promised all monies would be reinvested, were we not?

I posted something similar. However the difference is, Norman at that point had a dire track record of abusing fans, relegating the club and making generally disastrous decisions.

It seems we are focusing on getting the existing successful players on having new deals, which is an excellent approach, rather than buying in new players who may not make the grade, clutter up the squad and we end up with all the good ones leaving come the summer.

Leaving us with the rubbish signed in Jan.

The Robbie concert thing I am unclear on. We seem to need the seats for health and safety reasons so the concert can go ahead. However I would have thought that those seats being sold at £70 each would benefit the gig if they could be used?

Can they be used for the concert but not the club going forward due to the concourse issue?

If it is £100k to finish the ground, surely it is reasonable for funds from the gig,  charity or not to fund that? After all, it is the concert demanding the changes from our facilities at the end of the day.

I’d love it finished, I really would. Frankly if it is just 100k, i’m fairly sure a fan fundraiser could get close to seeing that. After all, fans funded Stevenage”s whole 1 million pound plus new stand purely on fan investment.

For the concert temporary facilities will be provided on the car park with access via the concourse area. Since there is already adequate seating for football matches there is no urgency to bring them into use. There is the benefit of the ground appearing to be finished after a 20 year wait. To me the priority would be to complete the Robbie Williams area if there is demand for corporate/hospitality etc space.

3 year contract, release fee, promotion bonus/clause ? But even then it is up to the player and any other offers that come in.

The Lorne st Hamil side if finished would make the ground look finally finished even though we don’t need the extra capacity, but for big games, imagine if we had drawn Man City at home, could be given to away fans. Fan crowd funding, like the Darren Beckford fee is a great idea and I would chip in, next area would be the front of the Bycars/ railway corner.

Smithy has recently purchased his first house in Madeley, so to me this indicates he’s not planning on moving.
