And does that matter where they were? Look at the score ...they won....does that make us poor?Yeah today we were and we didn't play well enough today but just to say they were poor.......come on!

In my opinion they're a poor side and they got the 3 points today because we were miles off it.

Today was such a good opportunity to get 3 points against a side that were below us and push us in or around the play offs and we blew it as usual. <ovf censored> garbage all round.

The number of walk up supporters on the day I think is never over 500...you have the Shanahan ticket pricing policy to thank for that

That's exactly why vouchers for man city tickets would have persuaded a few more people to attend today.

Shanahan policy? Prices are frozen from the Smurfwaite era. I think football is generally expensive but I think sadly due to years of dire football, owners robbing fans of hope and a stadium that lacks any sense of customer well being except in Lorne Street.

£20 a head flat would be nice, but on the flip side, I think we could charge £30 each and it would not affect our attendances by maybe 500 or so.

Woeful today. We can't start with Pope at home as we forget how to play football suddenly.

I agree with this. Despite his fantastic hatrick last week, I think we need to play horses for courses with Pope. It was clear from the first few minutes that the two big centre-halves were going to dominate him. Don’t think we had a clear cut chance all game.

One to forget, typical Walsall game. Free ball always seemed to go to a Walsall player. Vale on the wrong end of most of the refereeing decisions, not clear why Conlon was sent off, why wasn't their center back booked for trying to kick Pope's head off, different game if he had have been.

Walsall always seem to have a number on Vale, the ghost of Alan Buckley lives on.

Vale played like a team who'd made a few changes.

I don't agree with your opinion they were poor but I do agree that we were miles off it. Mind you covering those absent lads was a big ask. it just confirms that anybody can beat anybody in this League regardless of their position.

Agree with you pal, the first paragraph I was quoting someone else's post.

Why is it when pope plays garbage it's because he was 'marked our of the game' or 'had no service' yet any other of our strikers in the same situation are crap?

Nobody came out of that game with any credit. No creativity at all. Amoo was woeful.

When I saw the line up I feared the worst, and so it proved. Just not enough creativity and Pope was completely marked out of the game.
Very frustrating, but a great week nevertheless.

I don't think the lads who came in did that bad. Walsall did a job on us. But the goal was so so poor to concede. Game had 0-0 written all over it but start second half we were asleep. That was the difference between the two teams. That and the ref.

I think clearly we perform better when we're not favourites and play as the underdogs. Hence our wins against the likes of Crewe and Bradford away and also the wins away in the FA Cup. Its almost a mentality thing more than ability. I never expected today to be a walk in the park but the performance almost belonged in the Neil Aspin days.

I'm <ovf censored> off.
