Same amount of consideration as you make when you live in a property near a sports stadium. I'm sure everybody will cope for one day.

Surely some compromise will be forthcoming this time to the local residents. As much as this is a great idea from a pop fans perspective the actual logistic issues will give local residents nothing less than inconvenience and nuisance.

Has any consideration to the local community in the Hamil Road area been given any consideration by the Shanahans at all?

You live in town, you hack it. That is the joy of living in town.

Don't know.

Given that you appear to have an ingrained belief, that anything they do which has an air of positivity, is in someway flawed, you'd better go down there, knock on the door and ask them. Hopefully, it will put your troubled conscience to rest and if not, you can take the opportunity to enrich their lives with the benefit of your insight as to exactly what they should be doing.

I take that as a 'no we wont offer any compromise to local residents' Ms/Mr Shanahan?

Im a football fan. I used to go school with Robbie. But i will say this...Burslem is not the place to hold and open air concert along with all the security risks it carries. It is not good when a 14,000 crowd are in town and roads get jammed and all hell breaks loose. If this concert goes ahead there needs to be a proper plan in place and consultation with local residents. Residents will be affected as will others in the area going about their normal lives. I would suggest no car parking within a two mile radius of the ground...for one.

Listen, folks. Vale Park was opened in 1950. I would suggest, therefore, that an extremely high percentage of residents would have purchased their properties after this date knowing that they were living in the vicinity of a soccer ground. They were not to know that the football club itself would have been generally unsuccessful during the last 70 years. We could have been a successful club with huge crowds 20 days or more per season. Robbie performing at Vale Park is huge for the area and the charities it is supporting. Well done to the organisers.
