Hopefully all is well with our local Council regarding this, imagine the furore if they meddle

This would have only been announced because the council have already approved it so I don't see why they would. Might get some local mardarses whinging about noise or road congestion (for the second event of this nature in 40 odd frigging years.) I suspect getting to deal with Carol rather than Normong left the council only too happy to stamp anything.

In fairness to Norman he too probably tried to get Robbie to do a gig to help those in need...himself.

He probably wanted something like 50% split of the profits.

We now know why he wanted to split the ground from the club. An event like this would have lined his pockets beautifully.

great coup for the club. Apparently Carol was already looking into having concerts staged here before RW team got in touch. They are steadily lifting the profile of our club from the shambles it was before. I cannot believe how things have changed in just a few months. They are more than a breath of fresh air, they are miracle workers.

40 years ago the ticket was £7.50. Local residents were offered the chance by the club to go to Blackpool at the clubs expense. I think they choose Blackpool because it was the he nearest place to home, where they would’nt be able to hear, the heavy metal Holocaust

Surely some compromise will be forthcoming this time to the local residents. As much as this is a great idea from a pop fans perspective the actual logistic issues will give local residents nothing less than inconvenience and nuisance.

Has any consideration to the local community in the Hamil Road area been given any consideration by the Shanahans at all?
