For the stats fans, the Vale have the highest shots on target % in league 2 at 42%.

For those that don’t care for stats, best to ignore the above.

Like all stats they are what they are. Make of them what you will. Like Leicester when they won the league, stat wise they always had little possession. So they were lucky? No they played on the counter. Stats by themselves mean nothing, but stats plus football brain can hint you a thing or two.

All we have to do is to convert those shots into goals at a higher rate than hitherto and we walk away with the league.
