Over 52 percent of people voted for parties supporting remain/second vote. Only 43.6 percent voted for conservatives so if thats enough for a conservative government then 45 percent is enough for a second independence vote.

Not quite. In a referendum the highest % wins.I’m not saying everyone who voted for the Conservatives/Labour etc in Scotland want to stay in  the UK as the SNP can’t state that all that voted for them want to leave  the UK.No parties are involved, directly,in a referendum just people voting for a choice to leave or stay.E.G. The EU referendum.

There is little point re-running the referendum and what followed but I don't necessarily subscribe to this myth that Labour was 100% against Brexit. It was against the deals negotiated by May and then tweaked by Johnson. The likes of Clarke and many others felt the same way. They wanted guaranteed closer commercial and trade links as well as workers' and environmental rights protected. If these things had been there and we'd had some cross party agreement Brexit might well have gone through two years ago.

I think many voters were simply pig sick of it all and that I'm sure was a big factor too - just get the thing over and let's get on with our lives. And we all have sympathy with that I'm sure!

Now, of course, it's turned out well for the right wing of the Tory Party, though it remains to be seen what type of agreement we can get from the EU and if the ERG continue to stick their oar in.

It's a big 12 months ahead, but it won't be easy. We can't cherry pick outside the club and expect the same benefits so there is an awful lot at stake still.

I notice momentum didn't ship boots on the ground up to stoke.... not inner city middle class enough to bother with I suppose... the local party did their job well enough.... perhaps not on script enough.

Were there more anti jezza failures than pro? Did momentum ship boots to anti jezza MPs? Or just pro?

Perhaps it was a secret cull...... nowt like a good conspiracy theory.... 555

They went to Newcastle geosname, I know because my nieces daughter went there at least twice. And she lives in Manchester, bless her.

England funds Scotland, Wales and NI more than they pay back in. When we leave the EU and should Scotland leave then they won’t have the NHS or it’s free prescriptions, they will have to have the Euro should they join the EU and will have to sort out border controls.

When I was in Northern Ireland earlier in the year I asked if they would want a referendum especially should we leave the EU and everyone I spoke to said not a chance, they cannot afford to run the country without handouts. Scotland are deluded if they think they can leave the U.K. and live to the same standards, Sturgeon is like all politicians, power hungry and is only interested in herself. I couldn’t give a monkeys if the Jocks left and wanted them to vote out in the last referendum but they’ve had it, voted remain and that should be it.

The ERG like the Brexit Party has become irrelevant.

Nicola should start coming up with an idea of how much she wants to pay us to leave.

Shall we take back all the NHS equipment/staff?

What is she going to do when the EU insist on a border. That'll be their problem not ours.

If they want to leave, fine, they know the hurdles the EU made us jump through, there's no incentive for us to act any differently.

Nicky Morgan remains as culture Sec. Stood down as an MP but will be given life peerage so she can continue in cabinet.

Guess we now will finally know what its like to be governed by unelected beurocrats.

I'm sure Tony Blair had Peter Mandelson in his cabinet so it has happened before,Wilson put a trade union bloke in as well but I can't remember his name,so I wouldn't worry too much

Rubbish.  The SNP stood on a 2nd Indy Ref platform.  Of course all those that voted for them want that otherwise they wouldnt of voted for them.

So there was no tactical voting in this election?

If you are suggesting that people shouldn't vote for a party unless they agree with the party manifesto 100% I would suggest the turnout would crash to 5%.
