Haven’t checked BTs share price but my pension reduced quite a bit when he said he will nationalise our National Grid. We will suffer for years if Labour get in, we have done every time they have left office before.

National Grid could be difficult, owned by the French state.

So far if I'm right, Corbyn has said if hes voted in we will have....

4 day working week.

Nationalisation of Openreach

Free Wi Fi

Free dental care.

Free child care.

Free hospital car parking.

Free prescriptions.

Raise the minimum wage to £10 per hour.

Abolition of tuition fees.

I think Ive missed some promises out, in fact Im sure I have but my question is, who is going to pay for all this or is it just soundbites (Lies) to get power ?

A combination of taxing  massive corporations properly and making sure they're not avoiding what they owe, a small tax increase to the richest (no-one earning under 80k will pay any more in tax) and borrowing, something which most economists agree is sensible whilst interest rates are at an historical low. All this stimulates the economy. The broadband alone is judged by the CEBR to bring a 60bn boost.

No, it’s not clear. He has changed his mind so many times, campaigning against our membership of the EU for years. As I see it he is campaigning for another referendum where he will appeal to voters to go against his Brexit plan and vote to remain.

Doesn’t give me any faith in his Brexit plan.

Johnson has been pro EU for years yet supported Leave when he saw an opportunity to get the top job.

Rubbish. This has been discussed at length on this thread already; the first Labour government was hampered by post war debt, the two since by international recessions. I'm sure both Thatcher and Cameron were grateful it didn't happen on their watch. But don't let that stand in the way of a 'reasoned' argument eh?

Straightforward, let the will of the people decide on the latest deal or the best deal which is to remain, doesn't matter which he favours.

Well if it ever happens, the EU would obviously give him a rubbish deal so that we could reject it and keep paying them  £zillions

The opposite, the EU prefers us to be closely linked to everyone`s benefit instead of being at the mercy of Trump`s empire, it would still be the will of the people. In my mind the PM should be neutral and then you get a truer vote, whereas with the previous referendum the anti-Cameron vote could have been decisive.

I agree, just wish Corbyn had explained that. Hopefully he will in subsequent debates. Thought the 'debate' was a real missed opportunity with the short amount of time given to each speaker limiting anything of interest. Special mention should go to the braying gammon in the audience booing Corbyn mentioning the poor overseas.

Was housing and education mentioned? Not really a proper debate, never really flowed, as usual plugging slogans for the TV news clips. BBC chaotic overview.

It might be news to you but trades unions are made up of ordinary people who elect people to represent them in trade disputes.

They only came to the fore in the 1970s because of runaway inflation caused by the oil crisis and the reluctance of employers to meet their justifiable demands that their wages keep pace with it. It suited the Conservative cause to portray them as revolutionaries and the label appears to have stuck, despite low inflation keeping wage demands down and strike days the lowest in a generation.

I was a shop steward for the AUEW in the 70s so it's not news.... I lived through it.

Stance on Brexit is very clear, negotiate a new deal then put it to the country in a referendum, thus finding out the will of the people now, not years ago. He may even tell the country the total cost of Brexit, unlike the current government which refuses to say.

He can't negotiate a deal, he can only negotiate the divorce agreement..... the "DEAL" negotiations can only start after we have left..... that's "IF" the EU will renegotiate again.
